    Xixak's educated thoughts on football.

27-09, 18:51 Xixak - course Tebow won't be a good NFL QB, but he will be the first one picked.
27-09, 18:52 Xixak - He asked the best QB in the draft, that would be Tebow.
27-09, 18:53 Xixak - I bet you Terrell Pryor ends up a pretty decent NFL QB.
27-09, 18:56 Xixak - Russell will probably end up pretty good.
27-09, 18:56 Xixak - Vince Young has potential if he works on accuracy.
    27-09, 18:57 Xixak - Michael Vick could've been a hall of famer.

And of course, this thread talking about how Terrell Owens is a better receiver right now than Calvin Johnson: http://www.virtualsportsnetwork.com/...ad.php?t=36711

The guy is a genius. Praise him.

Actually he said he was a top 10 quarterback, but I felt like leaving that out. ;)

I don't see what's so LOL about these. Vince could be a good QB if he was more accurate (and able to digest a proper playbook) and Vick could have developed into a HOF QB if he had some measure of a work ethic, which he himself admitted. He was the most talented QB in the league.

BBIB is that you? He was never anywhere near the most talented QB in the league, always the fastest. He was the most athletic qb in the league thats for sure. If athleticism equaled talent Chris Henry, Robert Meachem,Manny Wright and all the workout warriors would be stars.

I have not argued against most of the bolded, nor have I been a fan of Vince Young as a prospect. But in the world of fantasy, Vince Young probably wouldn't be on the bench and having mental breakdowns if he was a bit more accurate and wasn't given only three plays to run his entire career at Texas. He is a bad decision maker because Young never had to make too many decisions at Texas. It was a) look deep b) dump off to RB c) scramble.

And if Michael Vick actually give a shit about his pro career he likely would have been good. Let's not act like Donovan McNabb was automatically the NFL-ready QB he is today. He was very much a runner as early on, but he learned that he had to make more plays with his arm than his legs early and he developed into a more accurate and sound QB - yes, you can't instantly improve overnight, but you can improve with diligent practice and experience like you can with almost every other thing you can learn. The Falcons organization coddled Vick and he felt that he could coast on natural ability like he was doing all his life. Sometimes guys just don't get it, McNabb did. Vick and Young (from what we've seen) have not. I wouldn't count on it, but maybe VY stopped pouting and took this as a wake up call.....?

Holy shit, you say someone who sucks has talent and everyone those a fucking fit. Talent doesn't always translate to success, as we clearly see with these two QBs. Is Reggie Bush no longer immensely talented because he can't run between tackles?

But then again, why in the hell am I arguing for these two? I don't care much for either.

You can be drafted high and not have potential. Take Al Davis for example.

False. Most of Davis' draft picks were boom or bust prospects with very high upside, they just happen to bust more than boom.

He needs to improve tremendously as a passer before even being considered a capable NFL quarterback.
