lol, no where close to being a helmet-to-helmet hit.
I was watching that game with my buddy, who is a huge Giants fan, and even he admitted it was a bitch call. I'm not an expert with the NFL rulebook, but I think Daryl Johnson was saying that in today's NFL, you can't hit a defenseless receiver even with your shoulder. So they were saying that that penalty was called because the guy was defenseless, and not because it was helmet-to-helmet. Either way, it was really fucking lame, and they scored a TD one play later to Smith, and I lost in Fantasy by 4 points. Fuck.

Lol @ the haters thinking Brady wanted a call because he's a bitch? Musta been it. He wasn't after the 15 yards and a 1st down, he just wanted to justify his bitch like persona.

The league is retarded for over protecting the QB's, the ref was retarded for throwing the flag, the QB was smart in calling for (and getting) a 15yd penalty which lead to a touchdown.
Yep, even as a Ravens fan I have to agree with that. At this point the rules are the rules and if a player goes for the knees a QB has a right to want the call. What is Brady supposed to do? One thing is certain though is that the refs were consistent with how they called the roughing the passer, because Flacco was the beneficiary once as well. The players just have to adjust to how the game is being called.

Good game, but I hope to see you guys again come December. If Clayton makes that catch things may have been different.

Wasn't Brady calling for those flags from the ref? I think I saw him complaining about getting hit.

I don't like RH, but he's right. I'm all for protecting the health of players, but it's getting absurd.

Can't tackle a QB below the waist.
Penalty if the QB hits the ground too hard. I've seen perfectly good tackles/sacks get flagged because the QB was hit TOO HARD. I thought you're suppose to hit, grab at the waist and drive a player to the ground when tackling. Protecting the QB has become a joke, and is killing good defensive play.

Man, I hate agreeing with Harrison and Ray Lewis. I can't stand either one of them.

Yeah he was but why wouldn't he? If you can convince the ref into giving you a flag which leads to a touchdown then more power to you . The refs shouldn't be convinced about throwing a flag because Tom Brady asks them too , it was either a roughing the passer call or it wasn't.

Yeah, I have to agree with archer. Regardless of whether Brady agrees with every call or not the rules are the rules, so why not expect them to be called? Suggs certainly wasn't going for his knee as he was pushed into him, but the rules are the rules and if getting a call helps his team Brady has to expect the call.

bucky, you know you're my boy, but we seem to disagree on a lot of issues. Ray Lewis is probably my favorite player in the NFL and has been for about 12 seasons. I just find it funny that you and I disagree on a lot of issues, yet we're cool.

I always found that "you can't be reasonable with the unreasonable and you can't be logical with the illogical". But reasonable people can usually do pretty well together. We agree on a lot of things and disagree on many others, but you are always reasonable and logical. You seem like a great guy (No Homo).

NBC analyst and former Patriot’s safety Rodney Harrison checked in earlier to say he had been bombarded with calls about remarks he made about Tom Brady last night.

”Tom Brady, if you’re listening. Take off the skirt and put on some slacks. Toughen up. ”

                  He was kidding, folks.

Harrison said he was in touch with Brady at halftime of the Steelers/Chargers game to tell him he was going to bust his chops over the roughing the passer calls and putting on a show for the referees.

”Let me tell you something. No one has more respect for Tom Brady than me,” Harrison said. ”I’ve seen this guy. The one thing I would never do with this guy is challenge his manhood. Tom is one of the toughest son of a guns I’ve ever been around. He’s like a brother to me.”

“He’s made an impact outside the football field in my life,” Harrison continued. “He’s a great dude, and he’s like a brother to me, and we bust each other’s chops. If people think I was serious, it’s ridiculous. This guy is responsible for helping me put two Super Bowl rings on my hands. I love this guy. For them to think I was taking a shot at him and question his manhood is totally ridiculous. I’m disappointed some of the fans would actually think I crossed the line and I would say something like that to Tom. It was a joke. He knew it was a joke.”

Harrison did think the call against Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs, who seemed to dive at Brady’s knees, was a bit much. And Brady helped the cause by pointing at his knees to the officials.

”That wasn’t intentional. I felt that was a bad call which led to a score,” Harrison said. ”I’ll stand by that.”

The comment was a joke, Harrison loves Brady..

That said I think his point was accurate.. I'm sure Brady would think those calls were ridiculous had they been called in Flacco's favor.

I understand protecting guys from injuries, but they're a part of the game.. some of these rules are downright awful.

Rodney Harrison is a retard for saying this.

                            1) Tom Brady agreed that rules are tough for defenders
                            2) Tom Brady didn't make the call... the referees did

How is Tom Brady wearing a skirt if the refs are the ones making the call? At least Brady didn't fall to the ground like punters do trying to draw flags.

The rules suck, and I agree with Ray Lewis that they suck, but this is a referee issue.

Tom Brady did point and moan on both occasions and walk up to one of the Ravens players and call them dirty after the Suggs one though (that's what Lewis said) .

I don't mind him doing that really , like I said earlier if he can convince the refs to throw a flag then fair enough . There fault for being so dumb

Do ball carriers not scream for facemasks?

Do lineman not scream for holds?
