Al Davis isn't perceived as a bigot by a large portion of the black community. Players don't have a problem being on a bad team. Rush would just be another faceless minority owner. Dave Checketts, a guy with a long history in sports, would have all of the power.

I'd like a group from outside STL to win the bid, and get the team out of there. The STL fans are ungrateful, unknowledgeable, baseball fans who were spoiled by the Greatest Show and have shown they won't support a team when they are in a down cycle.

From what i've read. Checketts/Rush are amongst the favorites, but are not the frontrunners. Unfortuately, it looks like the movement to get the team to move back to LA has fallen apart.

How does a New Jersey guy have any idea of what St. Louis sports fans are like? Were you ever at a Rams game during the greatest show on turf years? The atmosphere was amazing. The Rams have been horrible for three years and the Rams amazingly continue to sell out the majority of their games. St. Louis will always be a baseball town first, but there's plenty of love to go around for the Rams if they can just become competitive.

As for Rush, I'm not a big fan of the guy, but his money will help give Checkett's group of investors majority ownership. What that means is that the Rams have to remain in St. Louis as long as Checketts is the majority owner of both the Rams and Blues due to NFL rules.
