Good to see this kid get his head out of his ass. Hopefully he can actually make a difference on the team in the future. I don't see him playing too much in the next couple weeks though.

From my understanding, the 49ers gave him a larger guarantee but also took cash off the years.

If he starts playing in November-December he should still beat DHB in catches , yards and tds for the season

I mean after all DHB is on pace for an alarming 8 catches this season :bizzaro:

Right now Darrius Heyward-Bey has more names than he does catches, haha.

Lengthy holdouts like this are always a disaster.
Crabtree's career (not just this season) will never be what it could have been.
And there are many who believe he was simply a college system receiver.
My guess is he never sees season four with the Niners.

I want to say the original deal was 6 years 40 mil with 10 mil guaranteed.

All I can say is finally. Also, I feel bad for the morons who drafted him in Fantasy Football.

Pretty much zero excitement for him finally signing. I was basically expecting him to stay unsigned and go back in the draft. I'm happy the Niners stuck to their guns and didn't give him the unnecessarily large deal he was demanding. The current rookie cotnract might suck in many ways... but its still a system rewarding first round picks with millions of dollars before they ever play.

I honestly expect zero from Crabtree. This season or even at all. If he turns out to be a mediocre 4th WR, I'll be happy. If turns out to be solid, I'll be happy. If he turns out to be a superstar, I'll be happy. Its all good.

I'm just glad he finally signed...hopefully he doesn't turn into the next TO, but I dont see Samurai Mike lettin that happen. hopefully he becomes a solid vertical threat and lives up to the hype over the next few years, hell, if he becomes an average #1 guy, thats plenty good enough for me
