Didn't see this posted - Zorn on his way out...

IIRC Snyder did this last time before he fired Spurrier. He brought in Joe Bugel as a "offensive consultant." To me, this just adds to the Holmgren to D.C. speculation.

Anyway, IMVHO, this is just the beginning of the end for Zorn. My guess is the short-list is Holmgren, Shannahan and Gruden.

BTW, the quotes from Zorn are total coach-speak. Plus, word is that he wanted nothing to do with this. This was a Snyder/Cerrato move. Zorn is just being a good little soldier in the hopes that he's not canned.

Is Cowher ever going to get back in the game? I haven't heard anything about that for a while.

My personal opinion is that Cowher is enjoying retirement and will come out eventually, but, his asking price will be big. Plus, he bought a house in North Carolina and enjoys living there as well. I don't see John Fox surviving this year and I could see Jerry Richardson rolling out the red carpet for Cowher.

Zorn was by far the worst coaching hire I've ever seen. Dan Snyder got desperate after every coach told him to get lost.

I don't know if Shanahan and Holmgren would go to D.C. They want full control of the team, and I don't know if Snyder would give them that. Snyder is basically a young Al Davis/Jerry Jones.

I think Gruden, Holmgrem, or Shanahan would go to DC and all would be successful. I'd think in order to do it, though, Snyder would have to hire a solid GM. Those guys probably won't want to come with him as the key guy for talent and none of them are all that great as the coach/GM.

Holmgren and Shanahan want all the power. Holmgren might be the one who's more willing to take the job without GM powers because of how his tenure in Seattle went while he was GM. But Shanahan won't even look at the job unless they offer him GM control.

If Gruden worked for a owner like Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder he would win another championship...if not multiple championships.

If the Redskins were smart they would let Cambell go with him.
Campbell sucks but hes better than Vince Young, do the skins wanna do a straight up trade>? I'll call up Mike Reinfeldt right now.
