Ok thats nice. So since 1 beat 2, and 2 beat 3, then 1 can beat 3 without ever actually playing 3? If I remember correctly, the Ravens could've won that game if not for Mark Clayton's inability to catch a ball.
Until you actually beat the Ravens its all hypothetical. I know its nice to compare teams this way but all that matters is what happens when you actually play them.
Yeah that's been the status quo line around here for a couple weeks. I doubt you have even seen a game.
I've seen 4 of them, and I think the same thing. It's honestly no disrespect to the Broncos, it's just that this season I don't know who to trust. As soon as I get excited about a team, they have some crushing loss.
It's the NFL. If you can win 5 in a row, you can lose 4 or 5 just as easily. Especially if you're always coming down to the wire.
As an aside, I still don't get the "showing respect" thing. I get when the players think it, but as fans...why does that ever come up?
They've beaten the Bengals (super lucky break), two winless teams (Raiders, Browns), one overrated team (Cowboys) and got lucky breaks against the Patriots where Brady keep overthrowing his receivers due to rust. Look, i like McDaniels and Moreno too but i just don't trust this Broncos team.
lol at the Broncos beating the Patriots cause of "lucky breaks
what exactly was the lucky break? winning the overtime coinflip?
Hah my bad i was guessing they would be winless considering how bad they are same as the Browns.
The Gaffney catch, Pats missed fg, Brady overthrowing wide open Moss and Welker etc.
Broncos bailed Pats out a few times with fumbles, and dumb penalties, Broncos missed a fg, overthrows happen every game... I guess Denver got a lucky break against Oakland cause their whole gameplan was Russell overthrowing receivers.
I mean I picked the Patriots to win that game but it's ridiculous the excuses people make to try and discredit the Broncos' win.
Im taking a similar approach to Hass here.. you guys have exceeded anything I could've remotely expected you to do. I knew you had it in you to beat a team like Dallas after what I saw the first few weeks.. but beating Brady and the Pats proves you guys are foreal until proven otherwise. Congrats Bronco fans.. you have survived Cutler-gate without much problem.
Nolan should be credited, but McDaniels has just as much influence on the defensive side of the ball as he does the offense. He's the one that points out areas of attack against the opponents offense, and he has just as much implementation of scheme on a week to week basis.
Boy Genius is making fools out of a lot of people in the NFL.
I doubt that. Severely doubt that.
McDaniels is a fine coach and has a creative offensive mind.. but the Broncos are 5-0 because of their defense, not their offense.
Mike Nolan deserves a TON of credit for that.

McDaniels is best known for overseeing a Patriots offense that set a league record for scoring (589 points) in 2007, but he cut his professional teeth as a New England defensive assistant from 2001 through '03. When McDaniels went looking for a defensive coordinator, he wanted someone who shared his philosophies and would employ an attacking 3--4 scheme. "I thought Mike and I would be a good fit," McDaniels says of Nolan, "because I would try to use my offensive background during the week to say, Hey, here are some of the keys to disrupting Carson Palmer; here's what I think Brady Quinn really likes and doesn't like; here's how I think Tony Romo gets going best. I felt we could have a good working relationship, where I could give him some insight on the other side of the ball, tell him what I think, then let him go do it. He and I communicate exceptionally well together. He's a great resource."
God dammit, what is with all this "the Cowboys are overrated" bullshit. Who the fuck rated them highly? Before the season started 2 or 3 "experts" picked them to make the playoffs. Obviously Dallas fans are going to rate their team highly, all fans do. New England is more overrated this year than Dallas is. Brady comes back and they are expected to take the division with ease and be in the Super Bowl and they are sitting at 3-2 (as is Dallas). Correct me if I am wrong but no "expert" predicted Dallas to make the Super Bowl so stop with the overrated bs.
Just because Dallas is on ESPN all the damn time for our new stadium, getting rid of TO, etc etc doesn't make us overrated lol.
Edit: The Broncos have a fantastic defense. Way better than I thought they would have. What is with people saying they are getting lucky? Denver generates their own luck and takes advantage of mistakes by the other team.
B-Dawk is probably my favorite non-Giant in the league. Every Sunday he plays with so much heart, the ideal player that you would love to have on your team...
I think he has played a BIG part in changing this defense around 180 degrees

The media overrates you mother fuckers like no tomorrow. The Cowboys are "America's team", its unavoidable, and fairly annoying.
