I see the Ravens pulling the upset. That defense is on fire...

rookie QBs dont win second round play off games- let alone first ones lol. I dont care how good the Ravens defense is. the QB isnt ready for the next game no matter what. and even if the Ravens made it to the superbowl, I would gaurantee a loss by them. rookie QBs dont win super bowls and there will never be a first time. if it happened, it would prove how much the quality of play sucked in massive free agency -
I don't care who quarterbacks the Ravens, that defense is rock solid and they can run the ball. That recipe will keep you close in any game. Also, Flacco reminds me of Big Ben of a few years back. He was in the game to take care of the ball and convert some 3rd downs to keep the chains moving and so far so good.Comment

Originally posted by Phenomenal TJEh, Flacco's just as good as Dilfer lol. The Ravens don't need a great QB. They need a game manager, and Flacco's done a great job of that thus far. Besides Ed Reed will come in and play QB. He has a nose for the endzone.
in all honesty, Flacco is just a rookie who doesnt know yet all the knowledge that Dilfer had at the position. The Ravens will lose this game. Rookie QBs dont advance in the playoffs.Comment

the last time the ravens won a super bowl , they had a veteran QB in Dilfer. Once again, rookie QBs do not win championships- never have- never will- bank on that. : ) but it would be interesting to see Flacco and Ryan be the new star QBs in the league in the near future
also didnt a rookie ben Roethlisberger win the superbowl, (serious question)

This will be a hard fought matchup, but I see the Titans coming ahead. The running game by the Titans will outmatch the defensive line, and I don't think the Titans have to throw the ball much, espically considering the Ravens secondary is really good. Run the ball, control the clock, and you will win.
The ravens will stop the run, stop the pass and win this game
Go Ravens, all the way to Tampa
one game at a time

The Ravens are a defensive team. They need a QB (rookie or not) who won't lose the game. They don't need one that'll go out adn throw for 300+ yards and win it for them.
maybe, but a rookie QB will not be good enough to succeed in the playoffs this deep into it. never has happened. never will.Comment

ok, this guy is offically added to the dope squad...
if the titans want to win this game they need to do what arizona did to atlanta last week. they have to shut down the run and force flacco to beatthem, which he cannot do I am sorry to say. the titans will need to establish their running game and the oline will have to give kerry enough time to at least find eddie the ball hawk or he will be fucked. If, and its a big it, the titans can shut down that run and find a way to run the bal against that d, then they will win.
big ben won the superbowl, though he didnt shine in the game at all, in his second year. as a rookie he threw 3 picks to the pats in the divisional round after goin 13-0 in the regular season.
