...if the Detroit Lions drafted Tim Tebow first overall.
Say what you want about his arm, I've seen him make all the throws (including against my Tide last month, literally ripping my heart out in the process). Let me tell you a little bit about why Tim Tebow will not only make it in the NFL, but be great.
His arm: Like I said, people knock him all the time for his goofy mechanics and not being able to run a pro-style offense. Mechanics are just that; mechanical. They can be fixed. Shit, why even bother? He made so many throws against Alabama (and even Oklahoma) in TIGHT windows. He's accurate enough, and he obviously has the arm strength.
His effort: This should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway. Nobody on this earth works harder than Tim Tebow. Nobody. And not only that, but nobody can get his team to play at the same level of intensity like Tim Tebow can. This guy has the heart of a champion.
He's clutch: Have you ever seen Florida trailing by more than 14 points late in the game? No you haven't, and that's because Tebow doesn't let it get to that point. He's not only clutch at the end of games, but throughout the game, on 3rd downs (both throwing and running), and whenever his team needs a big play, they always seem to get it.
He's contagious: Like I said before, nobody can get their team to match their intensity level like Tim Tebow. So even if he isn't considered one of the best QBs in the game (which I'm not saying he will be, for the record), he still gets the 10 other guys on offense - and even the defense - all to play to their best, all the time. This is what I call the "Madden effect"; shitty teams in Madden are still pretty good because they're always playing at the same level. Teams trail off in real life. Not with Tebow.
He's Tebow: He is arguably one of the best college football players ever, and unarguably the best competitor in today's game (and possibly ever as well). 3rd and short, give it to Tebow. He led his team to a national championship after the Ole Miss promise, and I will GUARANTEE that Tim Tebow wins a Superbowl.
I've hated him for long enough, but I can't fight it anymore. Tim Tebow is the fucking man.
