            I used to care a lot more but as I've gotten older I don't get too high or low with how my team does for the following reasons:

            1) I don't play for the team.

            2) My life is more important than the team I root for. I got too much shit to be worrying about than the Oakland Raiders, San Jose Sharks, etc. How the team does has no bearing on the events in my life.

            3) I love football to death and as long as the sport is around I'll be happy. I am immune to the Raiders losing because they have sucked for so long now. It's helped me to just enjoy the sport for what it is and really admire the great players like Adrian Peterson, Payton Manning, Troy Polamalu, etc.

            No matter how bad or good my team is, I'll always love the sport the same. Wins and championships are just icing on the cake.
