    poop

i thought i was the only one who noticed this, as the restaurant i was at no one really reacted to it.

sucks but if we did any of 12 things right the game would of been ours

The same way they could miss Jake Grove's "block" on Vilma on Rickey Williams' 68-yard TD run.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWhu8KVUVLo"]YouTube - Ricky Williams Breaks A 68-yard TD Run Against The Saints[/ame]

It was really a horribly refereed game, both ways.

When I saw the highlights of the game, I initially thought it was a fumble. However, I didn't see the game, so I don't know what replays were shown, but don't the coaches in the booth have access to replays? Where were they after the call?

Like I said in my original post. It's over and done with. Just think it's horse shit that guys get paid to make these calls.

And I agree, not only this game but all year long we have seen some games impacted by shitty refereeing.
Not much blocking going on there. It was a blatant hold on Vilma, which also impacted the game because Rickey scored on the play, and Vilma would have been there to make the tackle.

Also a pretty obvious hold on this Ronnie Brown TD run:

Like we agree on, refereeing is terrible league wide, and it only seems to be getting worse each season.

Pretty ridiculous that in this one game, three blown calls came on touchdowns (Sharper, Williams TD run, Brown's TD).

Penalties although they can be missed are more 95% of the time called properly. It just waves a red flag when you do research online about the NFL being fixed and then you see some horse shit like that.

No reason why the referee didn't see that the ball was fumbled before he reached the end zone and no reason in the world why the call wasn't overturned into a touchback.
It's Patriots fan's faults that the NFL want to protect the superstars?

Why don't you douchebags get some talent so they can protect you too. Fucking phins blow donkey dick.

I guess my only remaining question is: was there an angle showing him fumble the ball before the endzone?

I agree that it was a bad call on the field given the evidence, but shit like this happens all the time. When it's all said and done, Miami blew a good lead. One or two calls are rarely the only determining factor in the outcome of a game.

If they were good, you'd get the calls...like the Patriots.

                Jus sayin.

I noticed this in the highlights as well. I was wondering why the analysts didn't say a word about it so I just thought it was across before the fumble occurred. Horrible call.

didn't Sparano call a timeout? which allowed the Saints to go for it on 4th and score the TD?

also - it's possible that the Sharper fumble wasn't caught by the cameras that the refs view in the booth.

that picture looks like it was taken from a media camera.

i know they reviewed the play but i didn't see a different angle that showed inconclusive evidence that Sharper lost the ball before the goalline.

Sparano did call a timeout before halftime, after the booth review of Colston's catch. The correct call on that play actually should have been Colston fumbling it before his knees were down, but recovering it in the end zone for a score.

re: Sharper's interception, none of the replays shown on FOX were from that sideline, so there was no way to tell when Sharper fumbled, based on the replays.

As a Saints fan, I can live with Sharper's explanation of the play.

"I think they said it was a touchdown, " Sharper said, smiling. "I know what I did, I scored a touchdown. Correct? Wasn't it a touchdown?"

Ah yes now I remember that Colston play a bit better in that if it was truly ruled correctly it would have been ruled a touchdown.

and yeah i was watchin the same telecast as you, didn't see any angles of the Sharper fumble from that sideline so I understand the referees call.
