I think the Packers Special Teams, O-Line, Run Game, and lack of Pass Rush has made GB look bad. Not sure what Favre has to do with any of these.
It's just one more brick on the pile of reasons to run Ted Thompson out of town. He's had one winning season since bringing in his coach, he has the roster in terrible shape and refuses to participate in FA while sitting on the most available cap space in the league (why didn't he go after Jared Allen or Randy Moss?), the team is the youngest in the league for the 4th straight year and he ran off the face of the franchise when he clearly still had gas in the tank.

We got returned (Percy, field position). Brett had another very good day with excellent field position. Brett's played very well so far this season.

The gunslinging works fine in the Regular season, but you as a cowboy fan should know, playing GB in big playoff games, that it doesn't work as well in the playoffs.

You can lose some games in the regular season gunslinging and it doesn't keep you from having a good regular season record. The gunslinging style is doesn't work as well during the playoffs. Can't recover from the brain cramp game in the playoffs like you can in the regular season.

It will be interesting to see what Brett does during the playoffs.

        No, no, no.

From now on, being "gunslung" refers to all the wins Brett Favre racks up. It's just fun to say.

Brett has nothing to do with why TT should or should not be run out of town. Going with Rodgers was (so far) the best (or second best) thing TT has done (Woodsen may be first).

Going with Rodgers vs Brett, especially with Brett's questionable behavior during 2008 and his off season drama, this was really on the plus side for TT. There are other/real reasons to question TT (O-Line, draft picks, etc).

I have not decided whether it's TT or McCarthy/Campen that is the problem.
There seems to be an acceptance of undisciplined play (penalties, blown assignments) and that's coaching. I don't know if the O-Line problems is personnel, or bad O-Line coaching.

Yeah, it is fun to say, if it's not against your team.

If Rodgers had all day to pass like Favre the game would have been completely different.
Isn't it inherent that Favre would throw for less yards because of the awesome field position leading to less "potential" yards to throw for? Sounds like a stupid point.

As per usual, you and I are pretty much on the same page.

Favre's departure should have no bearing on TT getting fired. While unpopular and yes Favre is having success elsewhere, you can't ignore that the Packers are now in great shape at QB for years to come. I won't argue that they have a better QB than Favre at this stage in both their careers cause thats completely subjective and Favre is proving he can still play at a high level thus far.

Aikman made a point last night that I have been saying for about a year now. It became apparent after Favre left that he really had no desire to return to the Packers. He wanted out and did what it took to get his way. Neither side handled it well but the Packers didn't just kick Favre out. He wanted out and did what it took to get out just as much.

If Thompson is fired it should be for his record and neglect of building an offensive line through the draft and FA (and partially the DLine, atleast he has tried there with high picks. He signed Pickett and drafted 2 first rounders there at least)

As for Campen and McCarthy. Campen should have been fired after last year. Big mistake holding onto him. McCarthy I have on the hot seat more for keeping Campen, his inconsistent play calling, and the enormous discipline issues with this team.

Favre played a great game, no denying that. The Packers defense has been impressive and Favre has completed like 70% of his passes against them, throwing 7 touchdowns and no INT's in the process. The Vikings team in whole deserves a lot of the credit for both wins, but it's hard to say Favre didn't have a huge impact. The Packers beat the Vikings in week 1 last season and only lost by 1 in Week 10. Favre is
