lol @ calling a QB with a rating near 90 playing behind an offensive line with 5 turnstiles across the board and Julius Jones in the backfield washed up.
Hasselbeck is fine - the rest of the team needs a lot of work

the steelers say hi...
23:33 OnlyOneBeerLeft: jake nobody listens to you aint you supposed to die from cancer or somethin soon?
I would take Max Starks over the 5th string tackle we started against Arizona. I would take Kemoeatu and Hartwig over a 3rd string guard and a converted guard playing center.
I would definitely take Parker, Mendenhall or Moore over Julius Jones.. hell Carey Davis would be a better every down back than Julius.
Our situation is MUCH worse than Pittsburgh.. but that falls in line with our front office being retarded and ignoring an offensive line that's been in shambles since Super Bowl XL.
P.S. Derek Anderson sucks more than Charlie Frye an ex-Seahawk.. see what I did there? I returned the thread to the topic

Cleveland hasn't had that since Bernie Kosar for the most part but at least they have that history.
They won all four AAFC titles (including a 15-0 undefeated season in 1948), and after joining the NFL won four additional championships prior to the NFL-AFL merger in 1970.
Cleveland has the seventh highest franchise winning percentage in the NFL. 28 playoff appearances, 8 Championships prior to the SuperBowl Era. (Green Bay and Chicago have more).
On the flip side...
One of five franchises (Lions, Saints, Jaguars, Titans) to have never won a conference championship, or a Super Bowl.
Cleveland is the only city in the NFL to have never hosted, or sent a team to the Super Bowl.
Just think 2 yrs ago he made the probowl smh...what the hell happened...
The flash in the pan was snuffed out. Teams didn't know how to plan for Derek Anderson. No one thought he was capable of 3,000+ yards until he actually did it. After that? Teams wised up and here you have it.
Why was his contract even extended? Should have let that one breathe a bit more before making the decision if you're Cleveland, no? I mean it's not like he was lights out in his one good season, he sputtered down the stretch and threw at least 2 picks a game for the last month.
Not all that epic. Cribbs played QB in college. What would it matter if he went out there and ran the ball 50% of the time. As long as they move the ball down field it really doesn't matter.
It would be epic because no coach has the balls to do it. You would be seen as basically be running the wildcat all the time, which I think is why coaches don't want to do it.

This game all they did was pretty much run the ball, 7 pass attempts and the rest of the game just runs. Closest thing I could find to what you were talking about, Carolina also was running the wildcat in this game, a few seasons before Miami started to do it.
