DE? I'm going running back with our first pick. After I sign 5 running backs this offseason. Then I'll take another running back in the 6th just to be safe.

I'd argue that Jarius Byrd for the Bills is the DROY so far.

Byrd leads the league in INT's with 7 and has 37 tackles.

Last year, Donnie Jones had a 50 yard average (first player in something like 50 or 60 years) and was Pro Bowl snubbed.

Pro Bowl voting cant even get the punter right, yet Pro Bowls is used to stregthen/weaken HOF arguments.

What is even better is that he keeps such a high average while punting a lot more than other punters!

no love for Hakeem Nicks? identical stats to Harvin with 2 less games due to injury.

Nicks is very good, but I think Harvin's kick returns set him apart from Nicks. The Vikings had some problems last year with their special teams, and Harvin's 30+ yard average on returns has made Minnesota much better. To quote Linda Cohn..."Thats just filthy..."

Rookie of the Year: Rey Maualuga, Bengals - guy has transformed Cincy into a hard-nosed team. Honorable mention to Percy Harvin of the Vikes.
I'd give it to Benson because I can't stand Waffle-man Favre. And you could always make two awards. OROY for Rey Rey and DROY for Percy.

lol at rey rey being the reason our defense has turnaround and being the rookie of the year. He isnt even the best Linebacker from USC right now and is certainly not the reason our defense has turned around. Our defense made an official turnaround last year. Rey rey is simply another peice to our unit. lol 30 tackles total, 18 solo 12 assist being the lone peice.

droy is byrd. dude is a ballhawk..nuff said. he leads the league in ints and is only gonna get better. hes making an obvious contribution to his team.
