Dudes scared of Manning now apparently, complete reversal of how things used to be. No idea how you don't punt there regardless of how bad your defense is.

It's not like Indy had scored on every drive, they punted the ball 7 times and turned it over twice. How are you trying to run the clock out against the Colts and 3 out of 4 of the plays you call are passes?

Where's the defensive mastermind Manning stopper I used to know?

Yea, I was curious why he did that. Waiting for his press conference. I'm sure that question will arise.

As a Colts fan I will say this: I don't think it was an AWFUL call .. questionable sure, but 2 yards to go is a lot easier against us than it should be. I would have bet money they were going to get that.

Still should have punted though. They stopped us pretty consistently throughout the game, gotta trust your D one more time. Even against Peyton.

If I'm coaching NE or Arizona, I go for it. I have two hall of famers under center, I don't think twice.

I would have gone for it to, but to throw it to faulk?

A inside run or quick throw to welker would have been better choices imo

I'd probably go for it as Indy's coach, too.

If you can't count on your hall of fame quarterback, who can you count on?

There's only three guys I'd trust in that situation, Brady, Warner and Manning... and maybe Jay Cutler.

I agree but I would have hoped (as a Colts fan) that Caldwell would choose to punt in that situation . Maybe it's because we have two pro bowl pass rushers ? I don't know ..... but I feel like you have to make them go 70 instead of 30 . If it was at the 50 I would have done it but not the 20-30 .

Maybe BB knew his guys were tired and done for on D? I don't know

Oh and lol @ the Jay Cuntler comment ;)

when you have the chance to win the game with the ball, you go for it if it's manageable. it was.

The ref marked Faulk at pretty much the line of scrimmage. Belichick will obviously take the heat for this call, but at least he had the balls to make it.

Belichick made a gutsy call. I liked it. I hate how far too often teams lose on a final drive because they punted it away and played it safe. Manning would most likely going to drive the 70 yards anyway with more than 2 minutes to go.
I think it was the right call by the refs. Faulk bobbled the ball and by the time he got possession he was behind the line.
