    Culpepper Signs with Detroit

Detroit Lions Sign QB Daunte Culpepper to a two year deal.

Less than two weeks after announcing that he's coming out of retirement, quarterback Daunte Culpepper has a new home.

Culpepper agreed Saturday to a two-year deal with the Detroit Lions. Terms of the deal, scheduled to be signed on Monday, are unknown.

Culpepper canceled a scheduled trip to Kansas City to instead visit the Lions earlier in the week.

Culpepper left the Lions on Tuesday without a deal but kept in touch, trying to find a home for this season and next season. After several days of negotiations, Culpepper agreed that Detroit was the best fit for him.

In September, Culpepper announced his retirement after being offered only one-year deals. Culpepper felt ignored despite his belief in his skills, and when he couldn't find a long-term home he announced his retirement at the age of 31.

In agreeing to a deal with Culpepper, the Lions have a quarterback to help finish this season and take them into next season. Culpepper, a former Vikings starter, has great knowledge of the NFC North.

Culpepper to Johnson could be NASTY. They still need an o-line though.

I like how he turned down a Chiefs offer to find a deal with a better team.

And in the end , ends up signing with a team just as bad.

It wasn't about finding a better team. The cheifs have a QB for the future in Croyle so he knew he would prob be a back up next year if he signed with KC. Meanwhile in Detroit they have no set QB for the future, Kitna's time looks like it's over, and the other two QBs on the depth chart are garbage so now he can go into detroit and start for two years.

              Orton is jesus bitches.

I hope Culpepper the best, I hope he gets back to his old form. It wasn't his fault he went to shitty Miami and his career fell off. Anybody know if he'll play any today against Chicago? If so, his fucking leg is going to get broken in 3 places. Da Bears.

LMAO. Culpepper is a joke and he's making even more of a fool out of himself. He played recently for Miami and Oakland and couldn't even stick with those two shitty teams. So what does he do, he goes to Detroit where he is going to flounder with yet another horrible team.

                    Seriously, give it up.

Could be a Randy & Culpepper 2.0 with him and CJ.
