Well i thinkit's clear who the Notre Dame players want as their coach next year...

Notre Dame just took the field versus UCONN coming out of the tunnel and Clausen, Olsen, McCarthy, and Scott Smith all walked out with Weis in the front with their arms interlocked with his. The entire team followed behind that first row walking with their arms interlocked.....

    Weis was tearing up.

In all my years as an ND fan I've never seen that.

That's a hell of a message to send the administration.

    Go Irish. Beat UCONN

What, college players being loyal to the coach that recruited them? Never seen that before.

Can't wait to see Urban Meyer and Brian Kelly play the Irish for new contracts with their own schools .. should be great fun.

FWIW.... just passing on what I've read/heard.

ND is throwing the bank at Urban Meyer and Bob Stoops... if they both decline they are going to offer the job to Gary Patterson at TCU and he will accept.

Brian Kelly is not a candidate.

I'm holding out hope for Patterson if Miles decides to move on to Michigan. Maybe we can work out a three-way trade and get Rich Rod sent down to TCU?

Anyway, I think Gary Patterson has to be the top candidate for any job. He actually does have a "Schematic Advantage", but on the defensive side of the ball.
