Academically, Butch Davis' recruits earned Miami recognition from the AFCA for outstanding graduation rates in each of his six years at Miami. Which of course can be taken with a grain of salt considering it's a Coaches Association, but he wasn't recruiting straight dumb dumbs.

No school takes in more "dumb dumbs" to play football than Miami. Frank Gore could barely read when they took him in, and im pretty sure he's legally considered mentally retarded.

This is missing the point. The point is that at Notre Dame you can't get the players admitted into the school...it has nothing to do with graduation rates or the fact that Frank Gore overcame dyslexia. Good for Miami for getting their players to attend their Picture Pages classes, but thats not the issue.

I read a book called "Meat Market", which profiles a recruiting year for Ed Orgeron when he was the head coach at Ole Miss a few years ago. Aside from being completely bonkers, Orgeron would literally try to recruit guys already in jail and guys who never attended high school. It was insane.

BK probably won't be at Notre Dame. His political views aren't going to bode well at Notre Dame. I mean, it's one of BK's "dream jobs" along with Boston College, but the whole being pro-choice thing might make some people mad.

Once Kelly coaches the Big East title game expect his name to be announced as the ND coach.

Stoops and Patterson are staying at there respected schools and Kelly has been using the we are focusing on the team right now tactic and not dismissing that he is going there. Once the team isnt going to be distracted anymore Kelly will be the guy.

With all due respect.. I think Adam Schefter has better sources than you.

I just don't see Kelly winding up there, I think ND is going to be stuck overpaying a much lesser quality coach, much like they got stuck with Weis and Willingham.
