People still make picture bets? Hell, I'd sport a Drew Brees avatar for a month, who gives a fuck? As a matter of fact, when Drew Brees loses in the playoffs, again, I'll sport a Drew Brees avatar for 30 days, to help us all remember what a memorable, wasted fucking season it was. Because even losers deserve some credit.

Key word is almost. Im pretty sure they get porter back this week along with fujita who i didnt think was a relly big part of the D until i saw troy evans play. I cried a little after watching him wreck shit and not in a good way. Rayman how are you going to call the dome overrated? Have you ever been there? Im sorry people actually get into the games there instead of turning it into a circus with a 50 foot screen thats shows 3D because the boys need anything to distract fans that the team cant seem to get it together in the month of december.
Give me a break. This isn't college football. It's a nice story, but 60,000 screaming people aren't what have made the Saints worlds better in the last 5 years. The hiring of Sean Payton, coupled with the arrival of Brees and a host of playmakers has.

Im not saying they will win, i fully expect the Cowboys to get stomped, im just saying if they do win i think it will light a fire underneath them to where they will win out the rest of the season. New Orleans is very beatable right now. Theyre not blowing teams out. If the defense can prevent big plays Dallas WILL win, I have no doubt about it. The issue ive always had was the defense and its inability to make plays when the team needed the most.
I hope they win and i have this feeling in my gut that i havent felt sense the Eagle game.Last edited by Derrville; 12-16-2009, 11:18 PM.Comment

I'm telling you, Ray, Dallas has the speed and the talent to match the Saints point for point in that dome. Dallas is 3rd in total offense, so I'm clueless as to where this whole ''Dallas has no offense'' argument came from. Dallas also has a higher ranked defense than New Orleans. I firmly believe that Dallas is a team that can beat New Orleans not only this weekend, but in the playoffs.
Step up to the plate, Ray. Wade Phillips is counting on you.Comment

And I would like you to point out when I said "Dallas sucks".
No, I never said that.
I HAVE said, that they have severely underachieved the last two years, and when that happens, it falls on coaching. I almost wish they'd tank these last games so that there's no hesitation on Jerrah's part to jettison the doughboy. Almost.
And lol @ those of you who spent the last few seasons telling me it's Tony Romo's fault. It falls squarely on three people-
1) the fat doofus calling himself a head coach who wouldnt know aggression if it bit him in the ass
2) the supposed "genius" ginger that calls plays straight out of Tecmo Bowl
3) the egomaniac upstairs who won't hire a disciplinarian HC because it cramps his style
Fuck that shit. They've disappointed me for the last time. I'll just lower my expectations from here on out, and if by some minuscule chance they actually turn it around, I'll just be pleasantly surprised.
Besides, I'd still be a "homer" if I showed the slightest bit of happiness should they win Saturday regardless.

It's funny how everyone hates Nuk at first and then he somehow manages to make everyone fall in love with him without ever changing a thing about himself.
I think Dallas has a chance but I don't think they'll win.
Despite what a couple of you may think, the Saints are in fact much better at home than on the road. Credit "the dome" or whatever you want, but Drew Brees' stats are much better at home and the team as a whole plays much better at home.
The fact that the Saints have also played their best football against the better teams they've faced this year also has me believing that they will come ready for Dallas.

Yeah, the dome gave you a tremendous homefield advantage before Hurricane Katrina destroyed the city.
Give me a break. This isn't college football. It's a nice story, but 60,000 screaming people aren't what have made the Saints worlds better in the last 5 years. The hiring of Sean Payton, coupled with the arrival of Brees and a host of playmakers has.
But when you have good players on defense that can take advantage of an opposing offense's mistakes, playing in a dome with 70,000 screaming fans does impact the game.
It happened earlier this season against the Giants. The dome was rockin', Eli called for Ahmad Bradshaw to pick up a blitz, Bradshaw couldn't hear it and Manning was pressured (by the blitz) into throwing a pick. Bradshaw admitted as much after the game.
Sure, it's just one small example. But teams with GOOD players do feed off of it, making the dome a tangible homefield advantage. It's not the reason the Saints are 13-0, but it has played at least something of a factor, however small it may be.Comment

damn we got dominated in the first half and ive been saying this whole time if we start slow against a team that can score we will not win. Congrats cowboys but you guys need a new kicker ASAP. Also our LT bushrod is now DeMarcus Ware's bitch.Comment

Nuk,
I humbly kneel down and kiss your ring. You were right, I was wrong. But dammit, this is one time I couldn't be happier to be wrong.
God Damn, what a game.
DWare is a god.
Romo is the truth (and I never backed down from that statement)
Cut Nick Folk.
Goodnight.Last edited by Rayman; 12-19-2009, 11:40 PM.
