    Grade your team this season

OFFENCE = B Under-performing run game only thing holding them back from an A.

DEFENCE = D- One of the worst Giants' defense in years

    Special Teams = C
Since Hixon took over instead of that bum Sinorice there has been a little more explosion. Tackling/Coverage has been fair. Tynes is unreliable and inconsistent and Feagles has had a surprisingly off year for himself.

    OVERALL = C-

    Jacksonville Jaguars

    Offense: B-
Maurice Jones Drew and Mike Sims Walker have been the shining lights of our offense this year. Garrard has been sketchy and for the most part so has our offensive line. Monroe and Britton are rookies and will develop. Marcedes Lewis has been a big surprise in the passing game and blocking. Mike Thomas is a surprise rookie. Torry Holt has been clutch but still doesn't have a TD.

    Defense: D
God their fucking terrible. The linebackers are a mess. There is no pass rush. Derek Cocks (lol) and Terrance Knighton have made a great impact for rookies and all the doubters who said we wasted our picks on them can eat shit. Reggie Nelson took a serious step back this year.

    Special Teams: C
Scobee has been reliable this year.. thats about it. Kick Coverage sucks dog dick and Adam Podlesh is the most inconsistent punter I've ever seen.

    Overall: C-
We've really overachieved this year with such a young team with little chemistry. We'll be consistent next year as long as we can address our pass rush and Garrard has to make better decisions. Our record should be a lot worse than 7-7.

      Chicago Bears

      Offense: F
This mostly falls on Ron Turner. His inept and predictable play calling has doomed the Bears since Week 1. The O-Line has been bad, no running game, average WRs that don't fight for the ball and struggle to separate, and horrendous Red-Zone play calling (Run up the gut, repeat, then play action or a fade to Greg Olsen)

      Defense: F
The defense has been atrocious for most of the season. But without Brian Urlacher, the Bears entire defense has suffered. The pass rush has been non-existent, their run defense has been bad and the pass defense has been awful. The safeties have been horrendous (especially Danieal Manning, he's an awful tackler), and often out of place. And they can't stop anyone on 3rd downs, and what makes it worse is that teams have more success converting 3rd and longs.

      Special Teams: C+
Johnny Knox and Danieal Manning have been a great duo on kick returns, but Devin Hester has done nothing as the Punt Returner. The kick coverage has been suspect, as has the punt coverage at times. If Johnny Knox didn't fumble at crucial times on kick returns, they'd have a better grade.

      Overall: D-
There's talent on this team, however it's not being used correctly, and the awful coaching has led the Bears into disarray.

          Team: Philadelphia Eagles 10-4

          Offense: B+
Very good, not great. Still need more commitment to the run game and McNabb needs to improve his accuracy a little.
Strange playcalling all season, as usual, from Reid.
The team needs to be more consistent offensively.
Love what Desean Jackson brings to the table, they should use him on screens more and some underneath stuff. Lesean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin nice additions, Celek just a tad below elite TE status and a huge upgrade over L.J. Smith.
Michael Vick getting better week by week and could be a serious factor in the playoffs.
Offensive line getting better as the season goes along.

          Defense: A
Other than the linebackers, this has been an above average unit all season. A team that can successfully use 7-8 D-linemen and great at getting the INTs. Assante Samuel worth every penny

          Special teams: A+

Akers and Sav Rocca having excellent years, kick returners have been solid, Desean Jackson a threat on every punt return. No issues here.

          Overall A-
Need more consistency on both sides of the ball, but are easily a top 7 team in the league. Without that consistency, they simply aren't elite.
Their playcalling on both sides of the ball is predictable and usually gets exposed when it all matters (see last year's conference final). The Birds need to be less predictable on O and D.

            Offense : A

Offense has been pretty dominant with Manning in MVP form once again . Addai is getting better every week and Collie and Garcon have been suprisingly good . Apart from one or two games where it went missing for a quarter or two this offense has been great .

            Defense : B

The Defense has been much improved from past years and we are finally blitzing (successfully too) . We are in the top 5 in PPGA and Scoring defense which is very impressive considering the shitload of injuries we have on that side of the ball . Our DBs will probably get a little found out v the better offenses but aslong as we keep Freeney and Mathis healthy all is good

            Special Teams : B+

Pat McAfee .... what can I say? He's been awesome at punting and kicking touchbacks. We may not even have to fear Sproles's returns if he keeps kicking it out the endzone ;) . Return game has been pretty average (apart from one return td) but that's what I expected .

            Overall : A+

We are 14-0 . What more can a fan ask for at this point?

              Texans: 7-7

              Offense: B

Our offense has been great this year with Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, Kevin Walter, and Owen Daniels when he was healthy. Matt Schaub is having a career year, and he lead our team down the field many times with the chance to win/tie the game, but I'll finish the rest later. Our running game, oh boy. Slaton had a huge Sophomore slump this year. He was pretty good catching the ball but running the ball, he couldn't hold onto it for shit. Wasn't getting big plays like normal. Then having Ryan Moats and Chris Brown carrying when he was struggling didn't help (minus Moats' one huge game)

              Defense C+

Well, our defense hasn't really played fantastic, but they've played well enough to keep us close in games (allowing 20 points a game). We have the potential to be a great defensive team, our front 7 are awesome. We just need some help in the secondary. But it looks like we will be using our first round draft on a safety, and thank the lord for that, we need one. Cushing will probably be the defensive rookie of the year, he's playing fantastic. I think Mario Williams hasn't played as well as he can play, he doesn't even have double digit sacks.

                Buffalo Bills

                Offense- D

The only thing keeping them from being an F is the fact that Ryan Fitzpatrick is actually throwing the ball to Terrell Owens. The Quarterback position is a nightmare. Marshawn Lynch is a bum and is being outperformed by a 30 year old who used to play in the Indoor League(not even the Arena League). The offensive line is a who's who of nobodies.

                Defense- B-
I'd love to give this a higher grade considering the Bills lead the league in INTs and Jairus Byrd has 9 of them as a rookie but the Bills are also worst in the league in run defense.

                Special Teams- B
Once again the best part of this team thanks to the reliable Brian Moorman and Rian Lindell.

                Overall- C
This team has the potential to be a solid team but poor coaching and injuries once again cause the Bills to be a doormat in the AFC East

Ending the season strong and showing a large part of why the Raiders offense sucked was because of Jamarcus Russell. A strong finish to the season is always good too.

This always pisses me off. Yeah Turner sucks and can't call plays but who cares if he is predictable? The Colts, Patriots, Saints, etc are all predictable everyone knows what's coming. Everyone has film study. The difference is they are just really fucking talented and it doesn't matter if the other team knows what's coming. They can still execute it.

He's missed 9 field goals this year...if your gonna give anyone credit on the special teams it has to be Mike Thomas.

                      Jaguars

Offense: Garrard has been shaky, but still has over 3,000 yards passing so he is doing a decent job. Most of that success is because of Mike Sims Walker who really is having a break out year and finally is giving the Jaguars a true number one receiver since Jimmy Smith. Marcedes Lewis has also stepped it up this year and is always good for one or two big gains a game. Torry Holt and Mike Thomas are also becoming good elements to the pass game, I believe Mike Thomas is going to be a solid slot guy for years to come. Maurice Jones Drew has 15 rushing touchdowns and over 1,000 yards on his way to a possible pro bowl year, but we have no other rushing threat, which hurts us at times. The offensive line is anchored by two rookie tackles who are inconsistent at times, and the signing of Tra Thomas was a waste of money. I'd say this is a way better offense than this year, but still needs to be more consistent.
                      Grade: B

Defense: Well we found out that Quentin Groves isn't capable of living up to his second round pick, and the loss of Reggie Hayward is also hurting us. Big John Henderson has been our only life on the pass rush this year, and Terrance Knighton has been the only other capable lineman of doing anything positive really. Our linebackers are our best part of the defense, but still can't cover for anything, which really kills us at times. Rashean Mathis has missed significant time this year, plus Scott Starks has been out as well. This left us with Derrick Cox (rookie) and Tyron Brackenridge for most of the time, but I will give it up for them, they both have done decent jobs this year. The safeties are also a huge problem this year, Reggie Nelson looked like one actual good first round pick going into the year, now he is going to start to lose playing time because of his terrible coverage and inability to tackle. Sean Considine was a joke of a signing, he is a decent tackler but can not cover Jack Del Rio's mother if he was asked to. Gerald Alexander has done well when put in, but of course the Jaguars don't want to give him good enough playing time. I think a combo of Gerald Alexander and Anthony Smith would be an upgrade over Nelson and Considine at this point.
                      Grade: D-

Special Teams: Josh Scobee has missed 9 field goals and an extra point this year, he still can hit some long shots, but he isn't really a reliable guy. Adam Podlesh has improved since last year, but still is tied for 19th in the league in kicks downed in the 20, and his net average is 16th in the league. I think he can possible improve with time, but right now he is a middle of the road punter who really doesn't help much. The only thing that really saves this special teams is that Mike Thomas is averaging 25 yards per kickoff return this year and adds a little excitement and speed to the return game.
                      Grade: D

Overall: This team is in rebuilding mode but still is managing to have a better year than last year. Our offense has improved, our run game has improved, but we still have a lot of work to do on our pass rush, safeties, backup running back, possibly quarterback, and maybe the special teams. We have a long way to go, but I like the fight we showed to atleast to get into this playoff race this late in the year.

                      Grade: C

                        New York Jets

                        OFFENSE- C+
---The high grade comes from the run game. I believe the Jets are ranked either #1 or 2 in terms of the running game. Jones again continues to be great and steady. While sometimes his running pisses me off the way he bounces in and out of holes, it's effective for him. Greene has been solid replacing Washington, who IMO wasn't utilized well enough. The problem has been the passing game. Sanchez has struggled mightly but I look towards the OC in Schotty. Why has there been a lack of screens in this offense? Everytime, Sanchez has to have 5 to 7 step drops? The Jets failed early to get the ball in their best playmaker's early. Now that we got Braylon, the pass game has been better but still the sequence of plays don't make sense and have no rhyme or reason. It's like Schotty just picks plays out of a hat and sends them to Sanchez. The offensive line has been damn good this year.

                        DEFENSE- A
---Can't ask for more out of this defense. Maybe a bigger threat of a pure pass rusher. Guys like Thomas and Pace are good but not great. When the Jets send the house, they simply rattle the QB. They have adapted well without Jenkins and have by accounts played even better now that he's been lost for the season. Harris has been GREAT this year, Scott is the rock of this defense. Ellis, Thomas, Pace, Douglas, Sheppard, Leonhard have all played well this year. Revis has been a STUD...he's shut down every big time WR he's gone up against. Only Rhodes hasn't lived up to expectations in this defense. The Jets have the best red zone defense i believe, they play sound and fundamental football...you can't say enough about this defense.

                        SPECIAL TEAMS- C
Feely has been great aside from last game where all hell broke loose in the ST game. The punting has been meh...but from Hodges to Weatherford, is a slight upgrade. Cotchery isn't a PR and is just there to be sure hands on the football. I'm not in love with our returners but losing your best asset hurt this team for points (Washington). We tried bringing in Miller but that didn't work well.

                        OVERALL GRADE- C+
Run game and defense has been spectacular. Revis is IMO the best CB in the game. We can IMO stop anyone on the field there. The passing game is suspect at BEST...I feel the coaching staff didn't dumb down this offense good enough for Sanchez. The lack of a screen game is alarming...3rd downs, you mostly rely on a rookie to make plays and he's done that. Sanchez has the tools to become a great QB but the playbook hasn't been to kind of him. Also he needs to learn when to live another day. He's fiery but he makes way too many mistakes but hey, this is the life of a rookie QB. Fire schotty and find someone who will cater to MS strengths and to the strengths of this team better. We left some wins out there on the table and it sucks...7-7, I feel we shoulda been better than this but Sanchez cost us quite a few games.

While we were 0-6, this would be all F's.

Offense since Vince came in: B
Vince has proven to be the franchise guy and CJ is still unbelievable. Kenny Britt has solidified himself as the #1 WR, while Lavelle Hawkins has been coming on lately. Gage played really well against Miami, and Nate has his moments. Jared Cook needs to play more than just the last drive against Arizona. Offensive line looks good minus Eugene Amano's one holding call a game. Not scoring in the redzone enough brings this grade down to a B.

                          Defense now: C
We have our moments. The defensive line can look just as good as last year's in some games, but in others the pass rush is non-existant. Gerald McRath has played well since filling in for an injured David Thornton. Secondary still blows dick, minus Finnegan. Harper has continued to play awful, and the safeties haven't done much except for Sunday.

                          Special Teams: B
Would be an A if it wasn't for the returning game. Bironas has been excellent and Kern was a great pickup. Britt has provided a spark on kick returns, but the punt returning game is atrocious. Almost screwed us against Arizona with two balls that were downed inside the 1 due to poor return management.

                          Coaching: C
Heimendinger has done a great job with the offense ever since Vince came in. Cecil actually is calling blitzes at times. Fisher brings this down though. He waited too long to bring Vince in, and then his play calling with the lead is horrendous - evidenced by the Miami game. It's like Deion Sanders said on NFL Network: Vince Young saved Fisher's job again.

Everyone knows how good the saints O is so its no surprise, but with the running game being at least half ass decent it adds another dimension to the game. Shockey started strong and hopefully comes back soon after suffering minor turf toe. Brees is Brees throwing it places it shouldnt be thrown and completeing it(most of the time). In the end everyone knows what the saints can do.

This is a bit tricky to grade because we started off looking amazing and recently have fallen off to old habits, but with greer and porter out for about a month its expected. Without big Sed as well we have no push from the DT spot which is also a fault. Sharper has added another dimension to the D and helps us cover most of the feild. I feel as of late he has gotten cocky and is jsut trying for picks rather than knocking passes down or just overall lax in his coverage. Will Smith is playing out of his mind and I love that many people(myself included) thought we should have shipped smith out but he is showing great a great motor and a will to get to the QB. Vilma is Vilma everyone knows he plays full go all the time. We could still use a couple upgrades over shanle and fujita.

Our kickers are like whores we pay them for a few rounds and then they are out the door. Bush still has a tendencay to run backwards but makes a few plays every now and then. Roby is great kick returner. Our kick coverage coiuld use a bit of work though.

I thought we would have only 10 win this season but they have gone above and beyond that. Yeah they lost to the cowboys but I mean who cares 13-1 with homefeild looking like a possibilty if they crush the bucs. Hopefully they make a deep playoff push and Ill be alright with that.
