Does anyone think that the longer LT continues to play like his current performance level, it will hurt his chances in lists such as these?

or do you guys think the numbers he has already put up solidify him.

Tomlinson is the constant in that situation, he had more to do with it than either of them.

Not taking anything from LT, but I think the whole "LT played on some terrible teams" is a bit exaggerated. LT has only played through 2 losing seasons in his entire career.

His rookie year they were 5-11, 2nd year 8-8, 3rd year 4-12 and then they began dominating the AFC West.

As I said, not trying to take away any credit from LT as he ran for over 1600 yards and had over 700 receiving yards on that 4-12 team, just saying it wasn't like LT was on a bunch of shitty teams throughout his career.

Top 10 for sure. Maybe pushing for a spot near the Top 5. Not sure if I'd rank him above Faulk though.

            Top 10? Yes.
            Top 5? No.

Up until the 2004 season we were probably bottom 5 in the NFL in terms of talent for at least 5 or 6 straight years (The Leaf Days). If it weren't for LT we definitely wouldn't be close to where we are now.

Although I do agree with most in this thread - when all is said and done I'd have LT at around #6.

I really don't think that Lawrence Taylor is the best NFL player of all-time.

agreed for the most part, but that team has gotten better at almost every facet of the game since his arrival and I think it had something to do with the Eli Manning trade that would become Rivers/Merriman/Kaeding, which btw all of them became pro bowlers. It has to be said everytime Kaeding is mentioned...koopa troopa

He might be the best defensive player of all-time.
You had to see him live in his prime.
No player changed a team more than Taylor changed the Giants after he was drafted.
