    Lamar Woodley Needs to STFU

Linebacker LaMarr Woodley predicts the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals will "lay down" for their virtually meaningless games on Sunday because they don't want the Super Bowl champion Steelers in the playoffs.

"Cincinnati is probably going to go into New York and lay down for the Jets and not play them hard just because they're not going to want to see Pittsburgh in it," Woodley said.

"We definitely wouldn't lay down because it's a pride thing with us, going out there winning ballgames and shutting teams down," Woodley said.
Maybe you shouldn't have lost to Cincinnati twice, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Oakland and you wouldn't have to worry about what other teams do to prepare for the playoffs.

I will LOL if Steelers lose to Dolphins and Pats/Bengals win.

I am sure that the Bengals, who beat the Steelers twice already this year, are really shaking in their cleats at the prospect of playing them again...and one can only imagine what Brady, Moss, and Welker would do to that shit secondary.

Fuck the Steelers lost to a lot of shitty teams. They also beat a handful of good ones. The Jets shouldn't have won last week and everyone knows that. He's just announcing his frustration like any other person would because it would suck if the Jets made it because Cincy and Indy both hand fed them wins in the final two weeks. Not to mention, Denver, Baltimore, Houston, and Pittsburgh are all better than the Jets and it's a shame they could get in because two other teams didn't want to play. And if you think that the Steelers aren't the best out of the wildcard teams right now, you're nuts... We have Wins over Ten, Baltimore, and Denver. The Jets are not good and shouldn't be in the hunt right now, say thanks to the coward Jim Caldwell. The Texans are pretty decent, but they aren't the defending Superbowl Champions. The Steelers, by far are the most dangerous Wild Card hunter. Not to mention, if Troy comes back, our secondary can maintain and get better and shut teams down.

all this would be moot if we had just beaten the raiders or the browns. the steelers are not a dangerous team, we are a team that failed to win when we needed to. you and woodley both need to stfu.

if you actually read the whole article the rest of the team pretty much says woodley should stfu as well.

It's funny because Mike Tomlin's comments were pretty much the exact opposite of this. Never did like Woodley at Michigan, and now this. Does anyone else wish nondescript edge rushers for .500 football teams would just go back to being quiet and playing the game?

I love how Steeljake tries so hard to fit in while ripping his favorite team. Dude just shut the fuck up. How can you say the Steelers aren't dangerous? Yeah we SHOULD have beat those teams. Hell we almost beat the Ravens in the first game with a 3rd String QB. Yeah we lost a LOT of bad games, but I guarantee if you asked the Colts or the Chargers who they would rather play between the Steelers or the other wild-card teams, they would pick the other. Jets, Texans, Broncos and Ravens are not as good as the Steelers. Plain and simple they aren't. Yes we've played like shit in numerous games, hell if we just fucking beat the Browns or the Raiders or the Chiefs we wouldn't be in this mess, but we are still a good football team and you trying to fit in is laughable. And Woodley can speak his mind, that's how he feels and I'm sure a lot of other players were mad at the Colts and Woodley was the only one that had balls enough to say something about the upcoming games. When you have a chance to go 16-0 or 19-0 and sit your starters and it hurts another team, you would be just as mad.

Trying to say the Steelers aren't a good football team right now is laughable. If you would have said this 3 weeks ago, yeah I would have agreed with you, but when teams start looking to win games instead of letting bad teams beat you it is something to be scared of. When we lost to the Browns I was embarrassed because we basically ruined any chance we had. Then something happened against the Packers. Our team started to fight, something they haven't done all season. That fight is what we had last year in the Superbowl run, and something that scares opposing teams. We've had 2 close games in the last two weeks that we came out victorious, again something that hasn't happened all season.

Do I think the Steelers are better than the Colts or Chargers right now? No, but they are a better team than any of the remaining teams fighting for the Wild-Card.

The problem is that the Steelers aren't the Colts problem . Don't get yourself into a hole and then you won't have to worry about teams resting up . Indy made it clear they didn't give two flying fucks about 19-0 and we do this everytime we have things locked up no matter who is contending . It's not Indy , San Diego or Cincys problem, they can rest up or play a bunch of five year olds if they feel like it . They got themselves into a position that means they don't have to care right now . Woodley should shut the fuck up and realize that if his team won some more games they wouldn't have been relying on other teams.

Moral of the story since Mr.Woodley seems to be quite dumb - Win more fucking games you dumbass
