Yes it would, we would have an amazing pass rush! Babs, and Jerry are really good. Jerry is fucking fast off of the line. There is a video to show it, it is the same play that Abraham pushed Jake Long on his ass, Jerry was so fast off the line. Look and that video and watch Jerry.Comment

Falcons might trade CB Houston to Lions
Falcons might trade CB Houston to Lions
The Lions and Falcons are discussing a deal to send CB Chris Houston to Detroit for a fourth-round draft pick, according to a league source.
The trade also would include the teams swapping fifth-round picks.
The Lions have been looking to upgrade at cornerback and even discussed trading for Antonio Cromartie, whom the Chargers sent to the Jets instead. The Falcons have a surplus at the position after signing Dunta Robinson.
Houston has started in 37 games during his three-year NFL career. He has 166 tackles and three interceptions.Comment

Dunta Robinson is our future at CB. And as I said months ago, we needed to grab the best CB available. Mike Smith will make this guy into a star.Comment

I've never really seen him. He didn't even have an INT last season. I hope he isn't the guy just because of the contract. I want them all to battle it out in TC/PS.Comment

From what Dimitroff is saying and from what I've been reading that looks to be true. We will either be drafted a eventual replacement for McClure (Pouncey) or an eventual replacement for Peterson (Weatherspoon). I think 19 may be a little early for Pouncey. Hopefully the Falcons go with Spoon, one of my favorite players in this draft class. Very exciting player.
And the AJC Mock Draft (also a few days old so some things aren't added to the equation):

I did read that article as well and am starting to really hope that Weatherspoon is the pick. With DE being ruled out, and CB being addressed through free agency, I'm pretty confident that OLB is the only remaining possibility (barring a trade or reaching for an OL)
Weatherspoon will be a great fit in our defense. I'd love having he and Lofton for years to come. Throw Stephen Nicholas on the weak side and you have a fap worthy LB corps for the next 3-5 years.Last edited by NAHSTE; 03-08-2010, 01:20 PM.Comment

Falcons Retain Cornerback Grimes
Falcons Retain Cornerback Grimes
The Falcons announced Tuesday cornerback Brent Grimes, who started eight games in 2009, signed an exclusive rights contract.
Atlanta also released wide receiver James Swinton.
Grimes led the team with six interceptions last year, his second accrued season in the league. His status as an exclusive rights free agent keeps him from talking to other teams if his current club extends a tender offer. Tuesdays announcement marked that offer and signing.
Grimes has 114 career tackles, seven interceptions, one sack, one fumble recovery and 19 passes defensed.
Swinton was signed by the Falcons to the practice squad on Dec. 15, 2009 where he spent the remaining three games of the season.
