Obviously that changes things...I'll agree with what Madden4Life hadLast edited by BUCK3YE5; 01-08-2010, 10:32 PM.Comment

I am a Boise hater and willing to admit it... but if you can't recognize the legitimacy of their win over TCU, quite frankly I don't know what to tell you.
To be honest, I feel as though Alabama would absolutely maul them in the trenches and win comfortably, Florida would probably win by 7-14, and the same for Texas. But they have won every game they've played this year including 2 wins over teams that played in BCS games (1 of which was the Pac-10 champ), and being that they are the only other undefeated team in the nation they should be #2 IMO.Last edited by Sportsbuck; 01-08-2010, 11:18 PM.Comment

I'm all for a playoff system, dont get me wrong. But it's not going to happen any time soon.Comment

My problem is they they're basically excluding certain conferences from ever playing for a championship. By putting Boise at #4 to end the season it just makes it easier to knock them down even further in the preseason rankings, which makes it harder for them to climb up to #1-#2 next year regardless of how good they'll be.
I really don't know or care who would win between Boise and Bama/Florida/Texas and by how much, but if they're gonna do things this way they should come out and say WAC teams aren't allowed to play for the NC. If it was official I wouldn't care.Comment

Given the circumstances leading up to the game (from Urban's "sry guize, got2go" to "LULZ Vacay Time!"), I'm pretty sure Florida would have hatefucked the shit out of any team in front of them... including Alabama given the chance to play them again.Comment

"Every game counts"--total bullshit, in no other sport do less games count.
"The season is the tournament"--Oh, really? I must have missed the round where Boise was eliminated.
Anyone who supports the BCS, in any form of fashion, or repeats that drivel posted above, is simply put, a stupid fucking moron.Comment

Don't let a game against a very shitty Cincinnati defense cloud your thoughts.Comment

Boise plays an entire schedule of 100% meaningless games, as do the majority of all college football teams. That's why I can not emotionally invest myself in college football like I do other sports.

To me a huge problem with the BCS is they aren't honest enough. They dangle National Championship dreams in front of these schools when realistically the vast majority of teams will never have a shot under this system.
At least if they came out and said non-BCS teams aren't allowed to play for a National Championship schools like TCU and Boise could work on joinging/forming a BCS conference. Instead they're just stuck in limbo where they play a bunch of meaningless exhibition games, especially meaningless considering that these schools don't produce that much NFL talent.Comment

Thats ridiculous. Boise will just have to keep proving themselves, one day hopefully they'll get their shot.Comment
