last time there was a 2000 yard rusher it was Jamal Lewis and voting went like this

        Peyton Manning, Indianapolis 16
        Steve McNair, Tennessee 16
        Tom Brady, New England 8
        Jamal Lewis, Baltimore 5
        Priest Holmes, Kansas City 3
        Ray Lewis, Baltimore 2
Terrell Davis hit 2000 in 98 and won. Sanders hit 2000 in 97 and won.

They all made the playoffs though.

If Peyton Manning wins every MVP until he retires, I wouldn't mind.

Deserved, i hate him but he is what he is.

I don't mind as much, cause as per usual the Colts will enter playoff action with a month since they actually were rolling...and someone will cut them short of a Super Bowl.

              :chomp:

He only got 20+ carries once through that stretch and let Kerry Collins throw the ball 30+ times in five of his six starts. I don't think you should penalize Johnson's valuability (not a word, I know) because of bad offensive play-calling IMO.

Not making a case for Johnson to win MVP, cause I would have voted for Manning as well. But CJ did deserve a few votes.

                  2 votes? Oh well, 3rd isn't bad.

Ironic that, with all these MVPs, the one year they won the SB with him, he didn't do all that much. It was more on the running game and defense...

Not really the MVP hasn't won the Superbowl since 2000.

It's no big surprise that you need to run and play D in the playoffs to win, the one year Indy did that they won the SB. If Indys D or run game no shows the playoffs they'll have a hard time winning it this year too.
