Darrelle Revis should have won the award. Then again I am a huuuuuuge Jets fans so I am biased. I really have never seen Charles Woodson play so I cannot honestly say that he does not deserve it. However, there is no way AT ALL that it should have been a 2:1 difference..

And thats coming from a bias Packer fan and huge Charles Woodson supporter.
      Thanked

unlike that other guy who was :talktohand: woodson > revis

Tru dat, and I was also shocked that Brian Orakpo didn't receive any votes.

Although something tells me the voters couldn't get this image out of their head ;)

                  Well deserved.

It'll give Woodson something to remember, while he watches Kurt Warner walk all over the Saints secondary next.

Good choice. Wouldn't have been wrong if they went with Revis, but Woodson was fantastic.

I watched more of the Packers than the Jets but every time I watched the Packers I saw Charles Woodson all over the field making plays. Not only is he a great cover corner, but he is a great overall football player, and that's why he deserved it more than Revis.

being a giant packers fan im so happy for woodson, i actually bought his jersey just this season. that being said

revis is the BEST cover corner in the nlf, however.....
woodson is the best overall well rounded corner in the nfl.

if i had to have a player on lockdown id pick revis, if i need a playmaker do it all type id pick woodson...

it really could have gone either way and both put up seasons that were worth the title.

When Harris, and Kampman both went out, the Packers needed a leader to step up, and Woodson did. You guys can talk all the shit you want about the Cardinals game, saying Woodson got "owned" by Fitzgerald, when in reality, the two big plays Fitzgerald had, Woodson either got pushed over (which should have been interference) and when he slipped and no one was behind him to cover Fitzgerald when he fell.

The Packers also played a lot of zone on Sunday, so you can't blame Woodson for that. And Woodson had a HUGE strip that saved the Packers 7 points, and allowed them to make it a game.
I beg to differ. Woodson was most definitely an X-Factor. But our team had a lot of guys step up and play key roles in our 11-5 effort. Clay Matthews, Nick Collins, Johnny Jolly, Nick Barnett, and even the unknown rookie Brad Jones. He wasn't the "sole" reason we were 11-5.

Woodson was, and has always been the silent leader on this defense. It's been said numerous times by Packers' coaches and players. Nothings changed in the past 3-4 years. It just took quite a long time for the league and fans to notice I guess.

I really dont like hearing someone make excuses. We've played zone all season. Its been why we've forced so many turnovers. Kurt Warner and his stud WR basically tore our secondary to shreds.

This award is an honor to Woodson and his season. And I dont think he was undeserving in the slightest.
