I don't deny Favre is a first-ballot HOFer, but IMO, he's football's Roger Clemens. It's all about him.

Ask Thomas Jones (Jets' veteran) about Favre.

Favre projects one image for the cameras and an entirely different image in the lockerroom.

So you are going to base Favre's entire career as a team mate based on what one person said about him? It's no secret that Thomas Jones and Lavernius Coles were on "Team Chad" when Favre came to town. You'd think if he was such a "bad team mate" that more than one fool would be talking to the media. No...instead all you hear is what a great team mate he is from anybody other than Thomas Jones.

It's not like you guys are from there so I think you can hold your lulz. Favre is still the favorite NFL player of most fans wearing Saints jerseys and they cheer for him on whatever team is on. He's the local kid turned NFL legend. They might not want him to win next weekend but they aren't going to be booing him either.

I'm in agreement with Panda. While there will def be some Favre and Viking fans there(opposing fans come to games too!), no way will they come close to outnumbering amount of saints fans. Those people love their team and will drown out any Farve fans in attendance.

I am not exactly from there, but my entire family is, I spent every summer there for 10 years and lived there full-time for the past 5, and I can tell you right now this is bullshit. Nobody even likes Favre in Louisiana dude. Maybe if the Saints followed through on their threats to move to Gulfport/Biloxi 5 years ago, it'd be "almost like a home game for Favre", but there's no way any Saints fan is gonna give a fuck about Brett Favre on that day.

That crowd is gonna be 99% Saints and 110% drunk. Bad news for Favre because it's the loudest NFL venue by far (with apologies to Seattle/KC, and I know, the roof is an added advantage). There is absolutely no way any Saints fan will want anything else but to see Favre go down.

Trust me, I know dozens of Saints fans, none of them like Favre. Even before this week, they were all annoyed with him during the retirement shenanigans of the past 3 years.

Favre grew up on a bayou less than 15 minutes from the state line. The people of South Mississippi and South Louisiana are interchangeable. Favre is not a white protestant name in case you haven't noticed. He has Cajun lineage just like most everybody else in that part of the country.
