If the Vikings win the Super Bowl - is Favre the G.O.A.T?

With two rings (assuming the Vikes win the Super Bowl comes true) and mostly every passing record to his credit - would a Vikings Super Bowl christen Favre as the best QB of all time?

    Discuss.

    ...

    No. Not even top 5.

I have no matter what happens this year..:

    -Joe Montana
    -John Elway
    -Steve Young
    -Jonny Unitas
    -Joe Namath
    -Dan Marino
    -Payton Manning

    Ahead of him.

If the Vikings win the Super Bowl, Palooza should have to kill himself again.

Interesting, why do you believe he doesn't fall in the Top 5?

I am a Bear fan and think he's the best of all-time. It's difficult to rank the Top 5 because they are all great. But I would give Favre the #1 nod.

                No.

Personally I'd still rank at least Johnny Unitas over him.

Favre has had too many bonehead gunslinger moments to be in the top 5 in my opinion.

Interesting, but 2 rings would still be < than Montana

Trent Dilfer has more rings then Marino. I don't think rings is reliable as the only arguing point.

There's no way Marino or Young should be ahead of him.. Irregardless of Favre winning the SB this year. Favre has all of Marinos old records + the ring and Young, while great, doesn't have the whole body of work Favre does IMO.

Favre has all those records because he was too selfish to sit games he had no business playing in. Seriously, how much do you have to hate your backup to play with a broken finger on your throwing hand?
