The bold could all be considered busts, some due to injury, some behavior... but the 2007 draft ain't got shit on this one as far as bad picks.

but the 2006 draft IMO makes them both look worse then they really are... I look through that first round and theres 5 "busts" tops

2007 was a great draft for the Ravens. We got 3/5 of our starting OL in that draft. Grubbs, Gaither (supplemental draft...may or may not count), and best of all, Marshall Yanda in the 3rd round, who is one of the best OGs in the league. We also got Le'ron McClain. What a great draft.

                4. Bears - Cedric Benson, RB - BUST
                5. Buccaneers - Carnell Williams, RB - Great rookie year...BUST since injured
                6. Titans - Adam Jones*, CB - Out of Football
                7. Vikings - Troy Williamson*, WR - BUST, he proved WR's need hands to go with fast legs.
                8. Cardinals - Antrel Rolle, CB - Starter

                20. Cowboys - Marcus Spears, DE - BUST, 5.5 career sacks in 4 years
                21. Jaguars - Matt Jones, WR - BUST

                23. Raiders - Fabian Washington*, CB - BUST in Oakland, now plays for Ravens
                24. Packers - Aaron Rogers, QB - Starter

                28. Chargers - Luis Castillo, DT - Starter ... injury problems
                29. Colts - Marlin Jackson, CB - BUST, situational player
                30. Steelers - Heath Miller*, TE - Starter
                31. Eagles - Mike Patterson, DT - BUST, 9 sacks in 4 years
                32. Patriots - Logan Mankins, OG - Starter
That's 11 players you could arguably categorize as 1st round BUSTS (5 of the top 10), 4 additional who are Out of Football altogether and one may be heading there (Merriman). 50% of the 1st Round draft class of 2005 not holding down a starting spot on a roster and two of them from the Vikings.

Lol @ Braylon Edwards being labeled a bust (he is,) and not Calvin Johnson.

                  Comparing their first three seasons.

                  Braylon Edwards - 173 receptions, 2,685 yards, 25 TDs, 3 fumbles.
                  Calvin Johnson - 193 receptions, 3,071 yards, 21 TDs, 7 fumbles.

In 2009, Calvin Johnson was ranked 24th in yards... He had less yards than Chad Johnson, despite the Cincinnati Bengals having a worse passing offense than Detroit, and wasn't even in the top 20 in first down receptions, behind guys like TJ Houshmandzadeh and Derrick Mason. I think Calvin Johnson even had less yards after the catch than the great - Hakeem Nicks. l m a o.

Oh, he had a good season in 2008, but then again, the guy was like 5th in dropped passes, more than Desean Jackson and Laveranues Coles.

You guys keep sucking Megatron's dick.

Are we going to have to wait 8 seasons before you stop blasting this guy as you used to be able to do with Brees?

Used to? If Drew Brees loses tomorrow, he has the same number of playoff wins as Mark Sanchez, who did it in 7 fewer seasons. lol. I think Rex Grossman even has at least two playoff wins.

                          Agreed.

I came in here to bash Calvin Johnson, not the tumor faced loser, who may or may not surpass Mark Sanchez in playoff wins tomorrow night.

And to that point I think of Calvin Johnson appreciation on a scale where at one end there is the unbridled Megatron love, then at the other end is you. Somewhere in the middle is an accurate level of appreciation for the skill level of Calvin Johnson.

Now it's getting late for me, but I would hope by the time I get back to this thread in the morning you will have posted at least a couple of undoubtedly humourous yet very skewed statistics and player comparisons.

                              And ... Go!

Don't know how that list labels Mike Patterson a bust, he's been a solid starting DT for the Eagles since they drafted him. In fact, I was just going through stats, he was 5th in the league in tackles out of DT's this year.
