i don't remember who exactly it was, but whoever blatantly missed the pick up on the Peterson fumble that shot backwards about 10 yards needs to get Tom Cable'd. That's just inexcusable in a close game.

Fucking Scott Shanle. He wanted to play hero and kept kicking it before his hands got there so tahi did what all players are taught to do which is FALL ON IT.

The thing is, the LOS was almost the Saints 40 - that's a 56-57 yard field goal attempt. The odds of any kicker making that is not good. It's still better than turning the ball over but it wasn't a gimme either.

All they needed was a CHANCE to win the game.

i'd rather him just run past the los, call the last TO with 3 seconds left and try a 56-57 yard fg to win the game....longwell's longest is 55 so its not completely out of the question he couldn't make it....miss it and it still goes into OT....why they even called a roll out is beyond me...i'd just give the ball to chester (who doesn't fumble) and run up the gut to try and get it lined up in the center of the field.
