I dunno, when i watched him play i wasn't sure if he would be a good Safety

he has the tackling down, but looked off in coverage.

Since you were talking about Mays, let me just say that when it comes to his tackling ability,

        that felt good

I really doubt the Niners take Spiller is Thomas is on the board. Our pass coverage is spotty at best and a safety that doesnt think he's a linebacker would be a huge step in the right direction

I think the giants should draft thomas over him, get another longhorn into that secondary
^^ I was referring to the Giants picking Mays over Thomas. Hence the giants drafting thomas over mays and getting another longhorn in for the giants.

^^ Referring to mays, i watched some USC games, not Tennessee

I not only think Thomas > Mays, I also think Nate Allen > Mays

Might want to avoid watching the real draft then when Clausen goes to the Rams.

                  I'd be happy with that.

The draft will be shut off, as soon as I hear ''Rams select Suh,'' though.

A couple of things.. first of all, good work, a mock in January before the Senior Bowl, Combine, Free Agency and Pro Days is pretty much meaningless in the long run.. but fun nonetheless.. that said there are a couple of things I think we can say right now that will hold true in late April.

                    - Jason Pierre-Paul will be a defensive end at the next level. He's a freakish athlete that could be the first defensive end off the board. He won't be a linebacker he's too big (6-6, 260-270 range) and would be a liability in coverage. This guy could be a poor man's Julius Peppers/Mario Williams type of player though. He's one of my favorite players in the draft by far.

                    - Earl Thomas is likely headed to the NFL as a corner first, safety second.. he's a terrific talent but I think scouts are going to want to see how he does as a cornerback because hes a bit undersized in terms of what you ideally would want to see from your safety.

                    - Tim Tebow .. eh.. the more I see him, the more and more I feel a team WONT risk giving him 1st round money.. I can't see the Jags burning the 10th overall on him when they have much much more pressing needs to address - especially with a coach on the hot seat, needing to win now. Had Del Rio fled to USC.. I think Tebow would have made sense from a financial standpoint, but he needs to win NOW. Tebow won't help much there. A pass rusher to get to Manning, Schaub and Vince Young will though.

Ok, so I am not going to defend every pick because I wanted feedback. I agree with somethings and also want to rationalize a few of my picks.

Tebow to Jacksonville - If Wayne Weaver has any interest in keeping the team in Jacksonville, they will need to sell home games. If he plans on selling his majority stake in the team, then the Jags might looks to fill a position of need. We will know more about Tebow's stock after the Senior Bowl.

Warren to Atlanta - I have seen plenty of mock drafts with Donovan Warren as a first round pick. I think he is seen as a #1 corner, and he won't be impressive in the combine. Where he will impress is in position drills. He is great in press coverage and showed this season that he can be a good corner (66 tackles, 4 INT).

Cody to Dallas - Jay Ratliff is not a prototypical nose tackle. Marcus Spears is likely leaving next season and Ratliff could be moved to become the team's five technique end. They could see this year's bounty of tackles as the year to snag a falling star, such as Cody. He does need to get into game shape, but Dallas has time. He is also a big name and we know how Dallas loves that. (Side Note: I almost put Golden Tate to Dallas)

Oh and what about the Giants taking Brian Price, DT, UCLA?

As a giants fan our draft board should look like this at 15.

                        1. Rolando
                        2. Thomas
                        3. Cody
                        4. Witherspoon/Kindle
                        5. Spikes

There are all players that should be around at that time. Rolando might go earlier to Miami or Broncos.
Cody at 15, are you fucking mad?

He's a guy who will play maybe 2-3 downs. A waste of a first round pick.

If you want a DT at that spot, than Brian Price or Dan Williams are the men to look at.

Did you decide this before or after you had to ask if Patrick Robinson was a corner or safety? And I'd be surprised if Rolando is available at 15, and you'd be insane to draft Fatboy Cody that early. Giving him first round money is just begging him to eat himself out of the league. Plus even if he does live up to his full potential, you're still only getting him for 20-25 plays a game.

No way the Chiefs pass on Berry. They already have a left tackle.

Haha, see I just have to disagree there. Btw, good to see you here man. Warren isn't that fast, won't have a great vertical or anything like that. But I think he will impress when he is matched one-on-one with a receiver. I agree, he looks lost at times, but I think he is good in press coverage.

Dallas taking Tate is more likley than Cody. Ratliff creates to much pressure in the middle to move.
