I think by keeping Cutler happy they hope that will be a good start at winning games.
The Broncos missed the playoffs and it's Cutler's fault. So if that's true, then you would think you'd understand a lot of the team's success is on his back.
Nuk you're crazy with the groans huh, lol.. what are you like 12?
I'm just fucking saying/ADMITTING that Cutler probably wouldn't be able to get past a guy who trashed him.
I never said anything negative about Martz as a coach or person.
LOL at your description of Martz "trashing" Cutler. You make it sound as if Martz went out of his way to TP Cutler's house. I would hope that even Cutler would be aware that his performance was subpar last season. You'd think that he'd WANT to improve.
Now we're gonna get into things that have been talked about plenty here already. I'll stop short.
They've been "talked about", but they haven't been debated...because you aren't really arguing against the hiring of Mike Martz, you are merely 'pointing out' that why would the Bears want to hire some guy who may or may not have orchestrated the greatest offense of the past decade but who definitely slashed Jay Cutler's tires after a Bears loss?
Well, from what I just heard - Mike Martz is interviewing today - so, looks like he did get that phone call after all.. Jay Cutler must have had a change of heart. Let's see if anything comes of it - and for the record, if you land Martz, you land Nuk, as a fan - and I fucking hate Jay Cutler, so I'm hoping Martz actually does slash Cutler's tires before the day is done.

I don't believe it was Jay Cutler that was preventing Martz from coming. I believe and have heard it was a Lovie Smith/Jerry Angelo power struggle.
Wow... so I wonder if they decided since it's taking too long to just go for it? Or if Cutler manned up?
Any Bears fan would hope for option two.
Martz is simply interviewing - from what I'm seeing, Kevin Rogers is the favorite so far. I'm thinking it's pretty much up to those two. So, Gris, which is it?
I can admit I'm excited if they get Martz, but still a little skeptical only for the reasons I already mentioned... can Cutler get over himself?
I will say it's a little wierd though that all of a sudden you guys have more faith it will work than I do, lol.
You have good reason to be skeptical. Martz has been known to clash with many people. The guy is one of the more arrogant minds in the NFL.
As for being excited - If they do bring in Martz, I just hope you won't end up hating your own team, with me being on the bandwgon and all, because the only person that comes close to Kurt Warner, is Mike Martz. I have a huge man-crush.
I like the idea of Martz too. I'm just concerned about some of his play calling and identities and how it fits with THIS team.
This team needs to be completely rebuilt. I'm not too concerned with building a system around Devin Hester and Johnny Knoxville. Also, Martz has had immediate success wherever he's gone, including the Lions and 49ers.
No, I don't. I've said multiple times I'm fine with him coming in, I'm just concerned that people will expect a lot more out of him than what can actually happen in one year with a limited roster.

So you are hoping that the Bears don't hire Mike Martz...for the sake of Mike Martz?? Because if the Bears did hire Martz, people would expect too much from him?
Wow...the people in this thread are making Boers & Bernstein seem like Einstein & Hawking.
