I doubt he does either, my point is that dozens of pro athletes that are amongst the greats of all time in their respective sports have done the same thing as Favre. You act like he invented it.

I really hate Warner didn't come back for one more year. He was clearly still at the top of his game.

as long as the league/team is willing to take you back and as long as you produce/ play well thats all that matters.
The vikes lost the NFC championship. But without Favre I doubt they would have even been there. He certainly held Dallas back another year haha

I won't bash Favre for coming back, it was obviously a great decision, one even I enjoyed.

But I always knew when Warner called it quits (I was expecting last season,) it was done. Kurt Warner has far too many things he enjoys doing, other than playing football. I've always thought of Favre as sitting home, twiddling his thumbs due to boredom, which is why he always comes back - that's not the case for Kurt Warner.

I hate that he retired but agree with you for the reasons you stated that he isn't likely to return. The NFL and the world for that matter would be a better place with more guys like Kurt Warner.

We'll see him in Canton in 5 years!

warner shouldnt retire. He is still an excellent player with a playoff team. A little defense and he could get another SB win.

hope he makes the hall of fame

Hated you when you played against the 49ers but always a great player and true professional

Edit: And I would like to add my favorite Cards joke: Bill Bidwell owns the Cards 363 days a year, the 49ers own them the other 2! :D

I like Kurt Warner, but there's something about Brenda that screams VICIOUS WHORE.

I don't really give two shits about Brenda one way or the other, to be honest. She seems like a good person, though.

It's just a bad bad day for me.

Nuk, would you lose some respect for Kurt if he came out of retirement in August?

I've thought about that seconds into his speech today. Yes, I would.

Would part of me jump for joy? Of course.

I'm not bashing Favre or any person who decided to come back, but I do not want this to be one of those situations. As much as Warner loves his life away from football, I don't see it happening.

LOL at Kurt Warner bringing a bible with him to the podium. Can't wait for his motivational speaking/preaching career to come out of this.
