Did the Green Bay Packers antagonize Ndamukong Suh by repeatedly untying his shoelaces?

Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh had no interest in talking about his infamous Thanksgiving day stomp when he returned to practice on Wednesday after serving a two-game suspension, but there was an interesting twist on the airwaves over 2,000 miles away from the Lions practice facility.

On KXTG 750-AM in Portland, Oregon, former Packers defensive lineman Matt Brock had an interesting story about what might have caused Suh to go over the edge.

Here's a transcript of Brock's account. When Brock refers to James, he's talking about Green Bay offensive line coach James Campen:

First of the all, you know the experience of the Green Bay offensive line right now? It's like next to nothing. They have so many injuries. They've got guys with one, two, three, four, and maybe 14 starts under their belts playing right now. The only reason they're winning is because Aaron Rodgers is a stud.

So my friend, James - man, I probably shouldn't say his name, he told me not to tell this, and I was like, "Whatever," - he's the offensive line coach. The center, or one of his guards, he's had like one or two starts in his career and he's got to play against Suh. So he's pretty puckered, right? So, he talking to James, the offensive line coach, going, "What do I do? What do I do?"

James is just in his mind going, "This guy is going to get killed. I got to take his mind off it, give him something else to do." So he says, "Ok, every time you're in a pile, I want you to focus on something. I want you to untie his shoes."

    He goes, "What?"

"Anytime you can, just reach in, he's got floppy shoe laces, he doesn't spat or anything, just untie his shoes. It will irritate him.

He untied his shoes three times in the game. That's why he stomped him. That's why he banged his head on the ground and he stomped him. When (Suh) went to the sideline it looked like he was telling the coach, "I didn't do anything" and he put his foot up like, "I didn't stomp him. I didn't do anything." He was actually going, "The damn guy keeps untying my shoes."

There's nothing to verify Brock's claims, but it's an interesting twist to the story. One thing is for sure, we're not going to get Suh to comment on it anytime soon.
If this is true then all I can do is and props to Green Bay.

One win away from one the real ultimate goal for us. Never been this fun to be a Lions fan.

I'm going to go assault someone and use 'he untied my shoes' as my defense.

Stafford is playing unbelievable this year.

He has surpassed my expectations this season by throwing over 30 td's and 4000 yards and is on the verge of putting the Lions into the playoffs, incredible. It's ridiculous how Newton is beating him for 3rd place in pro bowl voting.. (not that the pro bowl matters)

Calvin Johnson couldn't be stopped, the Stafford2Johnson connection just keeps on getting better.

And of course Suh <3 came through huge at the end.

              Im so pumped right now.

The game today just makes me wonder how the fuck this all ends up happening. Imagine if the Lions played well for an entire 4 quarter stretch.

You cant move the ball all fucking half, cant do shit, then with 8 mins left you go on a 3 minute drive for 70 yards and scored a TD rather easily. The only reason we had a 4th down was back to back Pettigrew drops. Then once again, you get the ball back and go 98 yards and fucking punch it in like you've been in rythmn all game. Like wtf changed that half? Was it that you were behind 13 with little time so you threw the gameplan out the window and just tossed it to Calvin? Like wtf. This game is so damn strange.

Agreed. Every play should be,"toss it to Calvin on three, break".

It seems like every game they only start throwing to Calvin in the second half.

Today, however, they threw it to him all game and look what happens, he racks up 200+ yards.

The more this team gets experience the more they will start playing better throughout the entire game, and that's damn scary.

Also, I think a consistent running game will help this team tremendously in terms of not having to have to come back every game.

Cant wait to see LeShoure play next year.
