The Lions are making a mistake not having Orlovsky on the roster. Mayhew is living in the past with Culpepper or he's been running PA fly routes on Madden 09 with Calvin Johnson to much.

Trust me, they offered him a nice contract, but he refused to play for an organization like the Lions who treat their players like they do. I'm happy for him that he will be making 3 mil a year backing up Matt Schaub in Houston.

Also, saying Drew Stanton doing great against the Jaguars torn up secondary is like saying he did good in the preseason. That gives him no credibility whatsoever.

This Drew Stanton talk just baffles me. The guy is fucking awful. There's reason why he hasn't won the starting job, or even came close to being considered, people.

Some of you need to put down Madden '09 and start looking at reality.

Stanton was a sack waiting to happen. Our o-line is bad but he would just make it worse cause he panicks and tries to run way too much and most of the time he runs right into a sack. Stanton sucks

Dan O didnt give us a chance to win either, he just threw it up to Calvin. Dan O sucked too. The defense did give us a chance in plenty of games, but this supposed acceptable Dan O guy only put up 10 points on the board. Please never say Dan O is acceptable because he was garbage. Without Calvin, he would thrown only 1 TD

I'm not sure what I think of Phillip, I mean he's a great athlete and all, but I just don't know if I'd want him on Detroit. Then again, we need all the help we can get at DB, but I'm still pulling for Chris Carr. And there's news out that Ravens CB Samari Rolle asked to be released, if he does, I know he's an older guy, but I wouldn't mind him in a Lions jersey.

Lions close to signing DT Grady Jackson, who would be another great pick-up for us.

EDIT: Check that, he did sign. I like the "anchor" signing for our new run defense.

Thought I'd bump this back up with the recent trade.

I still want us going Curry, but I could see us picking Stafford now and taking Lauranitis later in the draft. Either way, it's a breath of fresh air to see us being active in the off-season and making some good moves.

P.S. - What ever happened to Brian Calhoun? I still think he has potential...
