* Receptions (1,549), consecutive games with a reception (274), receptions in Super Bowls (33) and postseason receptions (151).

* Receiving yards (22,895), receiving yards in a season (1,848), receiving yards in Super Bowls (589), receiving yards in a Super Bowl (215), postseason receiving yards (2,245) and seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving (14).

How do you beat that?

Definitely the best player in league history.

Jerry Rice is def on my GOAT shortlist, Jim Brown is my front runner tho. Despite playing only 9 seasons, 4 12 game season and 5 14 game seasons he still is in the top 3 of all major rushing records, which is crazy when they guys around him in the book, Payton, Smith ect played 11+ years. Not to mention he averaged 5.2 YPC for his career, thats just crazy to me

Why do the glamor positions get all the attention. OK, I know why, but it's not good analysis. Plus.comparing players from different eras doesn't wash.
