Is Drew Brees now a potential Hall of Famer?

Drew Brees is an elite QB.
He now has a Super Bowl...and that is numero uno criteria and gives you a key to the door.

    What say VSN?

    Needs an MVP.

But that belongs to Jay Cutler next season.

I've been backing Jay Cutler from day one.

Just remember that when he throws for over 4,000 yards, and 30 TDs in 2010.

Has every QB in the HOF had an MVP? Some don't even have a Super Bowl. You have to see how the rest of his career goes. He will probably have to end up Top 10 in passing yardage to get into the conversation.

Doug Williams won a Super Bowl, is he in? Does that mean Dilfer should be in? Eli Manning has a Trophy, but no one really talks about HOF, McNabb is talked about it more than Eli. Plunkett has 3?, I think, but he still hasn't sniffed the HOF.

Theres more to it than just winning the Super Bowl or MVP.

I agree with everyoe else, he needs an MVP. He also needs to play at this level for a few more seasons. So no Madden cover, if he wants MVP.

I only mentioned the MVP, so I could give my boy Cutler a shout out for next season.

It's like this - Warren Moon got in, right? So did Art Monk. Why not Drew Brees?

Other than Kurt Warner's induction, I lol @ the hall of fame.

I will take the Top 10 back, maybe has to be Top 25 for the conversation.

BTW there are a couple MVP QBs in the NFL that haven't been called to the Hall. Having an MVP doesn't make you a guaranteed candidate. Most notably Ken Stabler and Joe Theisman followed by Roman Gabriel and John Brodie.

Moon is Top 5 in NFL passing yards career and Monk is Top 10 in NFL rec career and Top 15 in yards career. Thats why those 2 are in.

I think Brees made great strides in building a HoF resume this season and tonight. Not sure that he is there yet but if he can throw in a few more years of this type of production OR if he wins another ring, he would be in easily.

                          L O L.

No shit? I wouldn't have guessed after watching his long ass, overrated, yet somewhat amusing ass career. It was like watching some black guy tossing up some of the most inaccurate shit passes, hoping to eventually hit something. The only thing that could have made it more amusing, if he had to throw the ball to Art Monk.

Warren Moon got in because they had no choice.

You can make an argument for him being a potential HoF, but I don't think he's there yet.

                              Yes, you can... Here's mine.

                              3 playoffs wins, 101 career losses, a QB rating of 80, and a career % of 58.

                              Breesus Christ > Warren Moon.
