It's not so much that NO desrved to win but...

i think the colts desrved to lose this game, no matter who they played. they were arrogant enough to bypass a shot at 16-0 to keep their goal of a superbowl win instead. they put all their eggs into the super bowl basket and seemed so sure they would win it. from them saying how relaxed they were from being there before to irsay saying manning will be the highest paid qb in the offseason. the colts were arrogant and the football gods knocked them down a peg.

I thought the colts were more focused to win the game than the saints, and Manning will be the highest paid qb theres nothing wrong with that. Colts didnt "deserve" to loose the game. They lost to the better team that was playing that night.

Lmao @ being arrogant enough to pass up 16-0 for a Super Bowl. That is the stupidest shit ive read out of all the stupid shit posted the last 15 hours about this game. How can sacrificing one insignificant accomplishment for the best REAL accomplishment in football be considered arrogant? And LOL @ the talk of Peyton being the highest paid QB in the off-season being considered arrogant, too. Thats business, its going to be talked about if the Colts were 16-0 or 0-16. This whole accusation is borderline retarded.

Colts showed they didn't have the balls to go for it.

Whether it's giving up on the streak, or giving up at the end of the first half.

Colts not going for 16-0 has nothing to do with not winning the superbowl. I don't get how any of you think if the colts were 16-0 they would have one this game. The better team won last night.

Because if they were 16-0, at least they would get to be remembered forever along with the 07 Patriots.

Now they have neither the 16-0 or Super Bowl. Now they get remembered for nothing.

That's what it has to do with it.

Colts showed they were conservative in playcalling. They weren't willing to take chances.

The Saints basically put it all on the line. The Colts were too afraid to lose.

Remember for what tho? Losing in the Super Bowl? Personally id rather win the SB going 14-2 then lose the SB going 16-0.

Colts didn't give a shit about 19-0. They did what give them the best chance to win a superbowl and I can't say I blame them for doing it

Last night we flat out got outcoached though

                      Now they have neither.

It wouldn't matter so much if they had got beat by the Jets in a fair game or whatever. But they pulled them in the third, that makes all the difference.

But what does 16-0 mean without a championship? To me its pretty insignificant and even more disappointing.

Anything that wasn't a superbowl was going to be a failure for the Colts this year [and every year]. Going undefeated in the regular season wouldn't have made it any better or worse

Shut up steeljake. There is no "deserve" in sports, there is no "karma" in sports.

                            Ok? ok.

I think Steeljake is trying to say that the Colts played scared and too conservative and it cost them. The Saints laid it all on the line and were willing to risk everything for the win, while the Colts weren't, and it paid off.
