I don't have to list every RB in the league. I just got tired of listing the RB's I don't think will be top 10 next season. But if you want to know why I didn't list him...here you go.

Mike Martz will have Cutler throwing 45 times per game, Forte will get 15 carries per game...

Forte started all 16 games and didn't break an easy century mark of 1k.

What makes you think he could do it again?

The kid averages around 15 carries a game, he isn't handed the ball enough to be a huge play maker like most of the top running backs in the league.

He's the product of the Jets elite offensive line. There have been many times he's fallen over pieces of lint on the field, or watch him dive 4-5 yards at a time or even worse, running right into his blockers. His agility is damn near non-existant and his field vision isn't that great at this point. Anywho...

1- Chris Johnson- Easily best RB in the game right now, lethal with the ball
2- Steven Jackson- Simply underrated, does so much with so little
3- Adrian Peterson- Fumble problems keep him from being tops
4- Michael Turner- when healthy, simply one of the best
5- Maurice Jones Drew- dual threat, proven, a rock
6- Frank Gore- explosive powerful runner, still wonder about little injuries
7- Ray Rice- Rising on these charts
8- DeAngelo Williams- splitting carries may keep him from being high but he's a monster
9- Cedric Benson- finally realizing his potential
10- Jonathan Stewart- check Williams, powerful runner with very good speed, a hoss

11- Rashad Mendenhall- like Jon Stewart, runs hard...has fumble problems
12- Shonn Greene- came on huge for Jets and is likely #1 RB but nagging injuries will be his obstacle, 2nd is fumbles
13- Jamaal Charles- came on for the Chiefs, speedy guy who has improved a lot
14- Jerome Harrison- After the Browns finally gave up on Lewis, Harrison had a huge final December
15- Ryan Grant- runs hard through holes, like how he runs

There's guys like TaFelix Barber who combined would be awesome, they come somewhere in that 11-20 range as well as Ricky Williams, who at 2nd look would likely be 11 over Mendenhall, he ran well last year and will head that wildcat attack.

Ronnie Brown easily would have been top 10.

Khalil Bell was running harder than Forte towards the end there...maybe Forte was injured??

Guys to look for to breakout

Wells- with Leinart at the helm now, I expect a little more of a rushing attack by the Cards and I feel Wells will get the bulk of the carries while Hightower is that 3rd down back.

Reggie Bush- Has top talent, but with injuries/ineffectiveness/inconsistent play he hasn't lived up to what he could become. I know he's making a huge coin and the Saints have a ton to tie up with their current crop of players but in the right offense...*Bears?* (only say this because of Martz and he could get Bush doing some of what Faulk was doing)...Bush could become more of a threat and less of a decoy

I like Forte, he's a good RB. What's your beef? I didn't list him as a non-top-10-RB? The "second half" of my list as you call it are just a few names in no rank or order. Any player listed or not listed has doesn't matter. I wanted to add a few names, but didn't want to list the entire NFL. Too many RBs to get into in one posting.

Gee, I don't know.. The guy is going into his 3rd fucking year.. I wasn't aware that he was completely washed up. He'll get his touches in Martz's offense, whether it's running, catching or both. As long as he holds onto the ball, Matt Forte will be back on track.

That's if his legs can handle the strain, after having such a long ass career.

By seasons end Grant should have more yards and such than Brown, Westbrook. There is no way I'd ever consider DeAngelo above MJD or Rice though, that's crazy talk. Rice shared the backfield with two other solid runners and was still second in total yards from scrimmage.

I made this list based on what I expect in terms of stats next season. I think Westbrook and Brown could be better than a lot of players on any given down...but they are just too injury prone to give you 1,500 yards and such IMO.

DeAngelo shared the backfield with another 1100 yard rusher, and averaged 5.2 YPC (Rice 5.3). Rice does more in the passing game obviously, and that's a huge part of his game no doubt, but DeAngelo would've easily equalled Rice's rushing output if you give him the 40 more carries Ray was afforded.

I don't think D-Lo will be injured next year so we'll see him back to his 1500 yard, 17 TD performance of 08.
