Just read this in the Houston Chronicle. They said the would get about 8 million more a year if they moved. It mentions how Texas could ask for A&M to come along for the ride as well.

Big Ten has 238 NCAA recognized national champions you can even minus 28 for hockey and that puts them at 210.

The SEC has 168 and you can even add 2 for the ones arkansas had to vacate.
math isnt hard 210>168.

let's not act like you were of the opinion that it was the pac 10 that is better than the big ten, you think the SEC is the best conference in college do you not?

see the difference is those "sports that dont matter" do matter to university presidents.
what would you purpose as a measuring stick for a conference? they dont revolve around basketball and football only.

Are you being serious? It's common knowledge that the Pac-10 has more championships than any other conference. Of course I was thinking of them, because I'm not a dumb ass. Why would you not mention them? Did you think I didn't know that? Or was it to cover up the fact that your original statement was completely false?

While yesterday the idea of 16 seemed far fetched to me it now seems like it might be reality. The b10 launching the first strike in the mega conference race so to speak. The 180 on this comes from Nebraska basicly coming out and saying hey we want in the big ten, of course they didnt say it out right because that would be shady but they did it in a "polite way" for lack of a better term. Texas was no comment and pitt was a denial PC responses.

I mean its not really shock considering UCLA is #1 all-time in national championships (104), and Stanford is #2 (97), and Stanford has won the Directors Cup for 15 straight years.
