Schaub is a great QB... are you saying he isn't because he has a great receiving corps and throws the ball alot? Isn't it the exact same for Brees and Manning?

        Hmmm

Keep in mind a few things..

                    1. The systems they play in are compelely different. Washington is a run on first 2 downs, pass on third down offense (atleast with Gibbs it was). Indianpolis is a pass 8 downs, run 1, pass 8 downs, run 1

                    2. Chris Cooley was the main recieving target for his team, and often faced double coverage in games. Dallas Clark for much of his career had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, and still has Reggie Wayne which defense focus on first.

                    3. Chris Cooley was injured for much of last season and was on pace for another 700-800 yard season, but unfortunately injuries are apart of the game so whatever.

                    4. Dallas Clark's QB is and always has been Peyton Manning, arguably the greatest QB to play the game and most certainly the best QB in the league today. Chris Cooley has had Patrick Ramsey, an old past his prime Mark Brunell (who apparently is identical to Tom Brady :dontknow, and Jason fuckin Campbell. Jeez-us Christ.

Dallas Clark had 1 awesome season, 2 solid seasons and 4 awful seasons. Chris Cooley had 1 awful season, 4 solid seasons, and an injury plagued season.

I'll take Mr. Consistency over a one year wonder.

Edit: Well fuck, I had all those stats spaced out perfectly too. Fuck VSN. Anyways, I'll take Matt Schaub over Patrick Ramsey, Mark Brunell, and Jason Campbell all day every day

Don't agree that Clark is better than Cooley but good post and how dare you take Schaub over Brunell! Brunell is similar to Brady!!!

I don't think it's fair to say Clark had 4 "awful" seasons. it's not like he was sucking. I don't think it's a coincidence as Harrison started to fade out in Indy Clark's numbers started going up. Clark was the #3 on that team for most/all of his career. He's now the #2 option. It makes sense you'd see an increase in stats. Even in the years where you say he was "awful" he was still viewed as one of the best pass catching TE's in football. He was just the 3rd option behind Harrison/Wayne.

First of all, it's voice of reason dumb ass. Second of all, referring to Matt Schaub as a "great QB" in the same sentence as Peyton Manning is laughable.

I think he's not a great QB because he's only had 1 full season of starting, ever, and his team was doing just as well with Sage Rosenfels in there instead of him....

He's a decent QB, better than average, but to call him "Great" is an overstatement of the highest order.

Wait so Clark has more receptions, more yards, more tds, more first downs and less fumbles and yet he's a one season wonder compared to Chris "Mr.Consistency" Cooley?

I'm not going to argue Clark > Cooley because I don't watch Cooley enough but I find that a little wierd

Since he came to Houston and has had a chance to start he's been good, steadily progressed, exploding last year finally staying healthy for an entire season. So I'm not quite sure why you're acting like assuming that the season was anything but a complete and utter fluke is retarded.
