If a QB puts up huge numbers and winds up with a .500 or worse record, those numbers mean nothing. They usually just come because the team is playing from behind.

A QB whose one good statistical season (so far) has led to a non-winning record for his team is not a great QB. Not saying it won't happen, but he's not now. Right now he's a great fantasy QB, but not real life.

The Texans were 9-7 this year. It's the best in franchise history. So a full-season of Matt Schaub means 2 more wins than a full season of David Carr starting (2004), and 1 more than 11 games of Schaub and 5 games of Rosenfels (07 and 08).

So congratulations Matt Schaub, your career year led to 2 more wins than David Carr's did, and your first full season led to 1 more win than your previous two 11-start seasons. You are also 10-12 career as a starter.

I'd support your viewpoint after this past season. My friend (the huge Texans fan) said Fitzgerald was better before this season, and I agreed with him. I could be talked into Andre over Fitz now though. Before anyone says "one year matters for WRs but not for QBs?", let me say that unlike like Schaub, Andre has been producing at a high level for years and was already in the discussion.
