    OOBL's Mock Pre-Combine

    My 2010 NFL Mock Draft

Disclaimer: I don't look at anybody else's Mock's or base ANY of my selections off of them, I have a lot of out of the box picks, feel free to put in your input but nobody here is an expert, and even the experts suck at putting together Mock Drafts lol Some players fell too far, where normally a team would trade up to get them, but I'm not considering the trades.

If you really dont read other Mock's, I'm amazed at how similar your Suh breakdown is to this one:

LMFAO keep reaching for that one... the only similar thing is the NFL Player comparison, and I use Scouts Inc and CBS Sports player profiles. Who else would pop out as a good comparison? At least criticize a pick don't try and accuse me of something that looks nothing alike.

      Walter Football Breakdown

Summary: Suh is an outstanding prospect for the 2010 NFL Draft class because there is so much to like about him. He can play in multiple schemes, which NFL general managers love. His durability could end up being a huge problem dependent on doctors' reviews at NFL Combine like Glenn Dorsey. If he can stay healthy and keep the production up as a senior, he should be a first-round lock. Name pronounced IN-DOM-AH-KEN SOO. "Ndamukong" means "House of Spears" in a Cameroon language.

Player Comparison: Richard Seymour. Seymour and Suh have that great length, explosiveness, and strength that you want in a defensive tackle with the ability to play various schemes.
      Mine:

I can see the Buccaneers trying to get into this spot for one of the two DT's, but for the sake of argument I won't be considering trades in my mock. Suh is big and powerful, and very disruptive. Number 1 player on most boards. Should be a surefire star in the NFL, and his knee problems won't let him drop out of the top 3. His knee problems make him fall to number 2.

      Reminds Me Of: Richard Seymour
LMAO first off, most evaluations of a player should be the same because we all watched the same film, and second... theres almost no similarities in my wording or breakdown other then the Seymour comparison. If you going to accuse me of copying somebody at least be able to prove it or GTFO!

I didn't see it either, but rather then make a mock where everybody takes the best player available all the time I made some differences, there are always surprises in the draft, like last year Tyson Jackson going a lot earlier then projected, nobody was predicting him top 3 until McShay and Kiper were all over ESPN saying it a week before the draft.

          Nothing outlandish.

Only thing that stood out was Graham lasting until 19. I think he goes much higher (ass crack of the top 10 or maybe 15).

            Pretty decent Mock

Not sure about ALOT of the comparisions though

Example : JPP reminds you of Williams which is wierd. Mario Williams was special because he was 290-300 and still the most athletic player at his position at the combine. JPP is 260-270. And when it comes down to playing styles, other than both being 6 6ish, I don't see anything similar about them.

I could name more but I'm sure you get the point

Yeah he's been rising fast, I find myself putting in picks and then realizing that I left somebody who fell, things should probably be more clear after the combine.

Yeah JPP is smaller in weight, I was thinking his raw pass rushing talent and tall build. I'd expect him to tack on a few pounds in the NFL, but you are right that comparison is a bit off. I meant it as a freak athlete comparison, similar to Julius Peppers coming out of North Carolina.

I just don't see the Falcons drafting anybody but a DE in the first if we stay there. If you look back at all of the games the LE spot was just an empty void. People say our needs in order are CB/OLB/DE and I disagree with this big time. CB, Owens stepped up huge late in the season and so did Grimes but I don't think the Falcons like him as the starter but I think he has it as you can see in my signature. OLB, right now we have Mike Peterson/ Curtis Lofton, Stephen Nicholas. The "weak" spot is Stephen Nicholas' spot but hell it was his first year starting and he played very well. Now, LE, who is the starter here? Jamaal Anderson? This is hands down the biggest need. If our CB's are "bad" we need a pass rush to help them like you said in the pick description. DE is our biggest need!

I doubt that it's going to be Graham at that spot, but if it is Atlanta gets an incredible value pick there. Like I said with my breakdown of the pick, if you can get quick pressure on a QB with the D-line it makes the CB's look much better, look at all the years with Indianapolis, dominant pass rush, so-so CB's that made plays when they needed to.

I dont see the Seahawks drafting two offensive players in the first round. We have one of the worst defenses in the league (whether or not our linebacking corp is healthy). I see the Seahawks drafting and end or Berry with their first pick if he falls to them.
