Adam Schefter believes Sam Bradford is the Number 1 pick

ESPN's Adam Schefter told a St. Louis radio station he is "willing to take all bets" on his prediction that the Rams will select Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford with the No. 1 overall pick.
Schefter admits that he has not spoken to the Rams about the issue, but he insists he doesn't need to because he's "heard enough other things" from people around the league that he considers it a lock. Schefter also "promises" that Bradford is a top-5 player in this draft. The Rams are also reluctant to pay the going rate at No. 1 for a defensive player. If Schefter is correct, the Lions are sitting pretty at No. 2 with their choice of Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy.

    Just putting this out there.

It makes sense (not that it is right or wrong) in regards to giving that shit load of money to a quarterback over the defensive player.

However, when that quarterback is coming off not one, but TWO consecutive shoulder injuries...well, I guess that brings up the question if that QB is worth the $70M+ they'll be shelling out.

I think the Rams need to, not necessarily hit a grand slam with the #1 pick, but a two run double would be sufficient. Just get a player. I'd take Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Eric Berry, Rolondo McClain, and a few others over Bradford...but I'm just a guy behind a computer.

I'm not even sure if Bradford is worth a 1st Rnd pick. Let alone the #1 pick.

I'd cum all over the Earth. Our choice of McCoy or Suh? Fuck yes.

Said it before and I'll say it again, it just doesn't make sense for the Rams to lock up that much money in the D-Line. They need to start spending their money in other parts of the team. Plus, they have a perfect situation with a veteran in place who can handle the load for one more season before his contract expires and Bradford can take over.

Decision to draft Bradford #1 would be questionable with his history in the spread and injury issues the last year or so. To start him behind THAT Offensive Line with THOSE weapons from day 1 would be ludicrous IMO.

We have Jason Smith. You remember, that ''sure thing?''

                    I didn't want him either.

I almost hope we do take Suh, so I can laugh at his fucking ass, when he busts.

Agreed but the Rams season is a forgone conclusion so we are strictly talking players.

Believe it or not, Bradford would have a top five running back in the league with a young receiving corp with some decent talent in Donnie Avery and Brandon Gibson. If given a year to learn the offense, this could be a good investment. I'm still a believer in it starts up front in the trenches, but since they have gone d-line in the past few drafts and a LT last year (doubt they would want to give up Smith so early) I think they are hurting to get a franchise quarterback.

When you have the #1 pick, you can't look at simply next season.

If Bradford is the wrong guy...if ANYONE is the wrong guy...consider the Rams basement dwellers for X number of years.

That post was a low blow joke. Im not saying they need to look forward to next season, Im saying whoever they draft they will be last in the division and picking in the top 5 again regardless. So I was just speaking on ticket sales, nothing else. Taking the wrong guy at #1 can set you back a half a decade if not longer.
