I can agree with that. But the whole David Carr comparison is retarded - David Carr ended up being David Carr, because he didn't have it mentally, he never did. If you draft a guy who doesn't have it mentally, he's going to bust, no matter how good your line is. That's part of the evaluation process. If St. Louis drafts Sam Bradford, the first thing I want to hear, is that he plans on winning the starting job from day one. If he ends up being as weak minded as the Rams fanbase, then hell, Seattle can have his fucking ass.

You take the franchise QB, and if he's willing to work for the starting job, you let him.

David Carr has absolutely nothing to do with Sam Bradford or the direction of his NFL career. You take the franchise QB, and you build around him.

maybe david carr was weak but he got the shit beat out of him and then you want to draft a qb who in college got hurt already 2 times from college players and when we get him it is only going to be worse with most of the game the defense wailing on him and if he gets the fear in him then the rams have another spot to fill later on and the cycle will continue

QBs are both a crap shoot and a dime a dozen. You give most QBs better field position because of a better defense and a line that gives him time- most QBs end up looking/ being better with those things.

Bulger's best days are well behind him, but if you put him on a good team and asked him to MANAGE the game.. he would be fine.

I think if he went to the Vikings, Cardinals, Broncos, etc.. he'd be fine. Not a pro-bowler, but not as bad as you paint him to be.

Let's face it Nuk. The Rams are miserable. Even Peyton Manning would struggle to go 8-8 there. The Rams should honestly trade Steven Jackson and Atogwe and blow the whole thing up. They won 1 game with a Top 5 safety and RB last season.. it's not like they'll get much worse.

The Rams basically blew things up last year releasing Pace and Holt while trading Witherspoon. You have to have a few players to build around when you start over, can't get rid of every single star player.

The more I think about this, the more I'm hoping the Rams draft a QB instead of a DT. The Rams have had a top three pick in the past two drafts and it hasn't helped much. It's time to go after a playmaker, even if it's a bit of a stretch.

I thought the same, but Bradford weighed in at 236 lb at the combine, which is more than adequate for a starting QB. Manning and Brady, who are both about the same height as Bradford, are listed at 230lb and 225lb, respectively.
