So likewise, every player coming out of Florida this year is a winner too, right? Or no? Just Tebow?

        lol

My point exactly for every "Who is the best QB" discussion ever on VSN.

It takes a whole team to win a game.

Anyways, we'll see what happens. It might take a year or two for Tebow to actually get a chance on the field. A shame really. However I honestly believe if drafted by a team with a good line of scrimmage and a decent rushing attack he can win. Prove to me why he can't? Because his mechanics are off lol?

Mechanics being off is never a big deal in college... until 3 months before the draft.

No, of course they aren't a big deal in college... the player pool is a little more watered down. You're playing with the top 1% of people playing football when you get to the NFL. It's a different ballgame.

But if Tebow is making that high and tight sideline throw in college there is no reason he couldn't be able to make that same high and tight sideline throw in the pros.

The same bullshit was applied to me when I was a pitcher trying to get into college.

I had no follow through. My leg lift wasn't inclined enough, and my foot strike was off.

However when I was on the field our team won games, and I was definitely the best pitcher in my division let alone my team.

Alex Smith, Brian Brohm, Ken Dorsey, Byron Leftwich, Matt Leinhart, Jason White, Tim Couch, Andre Ware, Colt Brennan, Troy Smith, and Joey Harrington agree with Wildcard. Being a winner is all that matters regardless of mechanics or the offensive scheme you played under in college.

Flame away Tebow haters, and Sanchez lovers.
One of the more moronic posts I've ever seen. They're two completely different players. Sanchez, when entering the draft, was several lightyears ahead of Tebow is now in terms of NFL readiness. His pocket presence was already up to par along with release, and intelligence. He was over-eager though, and that led to an underwhelming rookie season where he was carried by his defense and running game. When he was good, he was good because he read the coverages well, made good decisions, and didn't take risks.

Tebow has a flat out bad release.
                  His accuracy sucks.
                  His presence sucks.
He has taken an incredibly low number of snaps under center (Something that is ignored by most)

Sanchez had a 60~ QB Rating his rookie season. He was considered to be very well adapted to the NFL. I would love to see Tebow start on a squad from Day 1 so I could laugh at everyone licking his nuts in this thread, but I know there are no NFL coaches as dumb as the kool aid drinkers in here, so I'll be content to watch him ride pine for 3 years before taking his ass to Canada.

Call me crazy and I could be totally wrong but I have a really hard time betting against Tebow. I'm not saying take him in the 1st round but if he's there in the later rounds and you need a QB...why not take a chance? I was never really high on Big Ben as a QB but a couple years ago I realised that Ben is one of the best QBs in the NFL because he can buy time for his receivers to get open which allows the Steelers to make so many big plays down the field. I know Tebow has nowhere near the passing ability of Roethlissburger, but I could see him becoming a similar player in the NFL. Kind of a Ben Roethlissburger-Steve Young hybrid.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think I even made a post prior comparing him to potentially becoming a Big Ben style of QB.

I also think Tebow will be fine. Work ethic and having your head on straight are much, much bigger factors in determining which draftee's flame out rather than pure athleticism.
