Me and Archer were discussing a trade that would work for both teams. Anquan Boldin for Robert Mathis, Both fill HUGE needs for eachothers teams. Me being a Cardinals fan would be more than happy with this trade. Mathis would add to our stale d-line, we need some one who is young and can flat out get at the QB. Dockett and Mathis would be a big time d-line that would be scary for any opposing QB. This would also reduce the amount of big plays our secondary puts up, as we would finally get constant pressure.
From the colts perspective, you would have an elite WR to come in and take the #2 WR spot and put up big numbers. No doubt in my mind, that would be the scariest WR duo in the league. I think Boldin in Indy's offense could challenge for the reception leader next year. You would have Gonzo(who has progressed to a top slot receiver) stay in his natural position. Sessions and Freeney can both get to the QB. Mathis is a smaller guy and that may be one of the main reasons he can't stop the run at high percentage. I don't know the draft picks that would have to be included but this trade makes perfect sense to me.
This is not being discussed publicly by any team and I doubt it would ever happen. Just thought I would throw some thing out that we could talk about.
