Skins close to a deal with Peppers?
Lance Zierlein of KGOW in Houston reports that the Redskins are "charging hard" after free agent Julius Peppers and that a deal is close.
Zierlein "expects a deal to be done" by Friday. It's worth noting that Zierlein, the son of former Steelers offensive line coach Larry, reported days before it happened that Albert Haynesworth would end up in Washington. So it appears he's got some legit sources inside the organization. We still wouldn't rule out the Bears or Eagles swooping in at the last minute.

Bears already neogotiating with Rolle
Rolle
The Bears have already begun contract negotiations with free agent FS Antrel Rolle.
It's been just hours since the Cardinals released him, so the Bears are getting down to business promptly. Ideally, they'll have Rolle signed up before the free agent market opens at midnight ET, and will be able to turn their attention to DE Julius Peppers at that point. According to the Chicago Tribune, a deal with Rolle "could be in place within the next few hours." Mar. 4 - 8:08 pm et

Falcons Likely to land Robinson
NFL Network's Steve Wyche reports "all indications are" that the Falcons are likely to sign free agent CB Dunta Robinson.
Atlanta realizes its biggest need is cornerback, targeting the Texans' 2009 franchise player and re-signing incumbent LCB Brian Williams to a one-year deal on Thursday. The terms of Robinson's deal likely won't be revealed until after midnight tonight. No. 2 UFA cornerback Leigh Bodden's market will then be set, although he'll probably get a shade less guaranteed.
