    Chiefs Sign Thomas Jones

    2 year deal, 5 mil

Kansas City signed running back Thomas Jones to a two-year deal worth $5 million, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Good move, especially with that contract.

Awful news for anybody that owns Charles in fantasy leagues, great move by the Chiefs.

But I thought Jamal Charles was a top 10 back this season?

        In his own division.

              Great move by the Chiefs.
Frankly, I think the Bears should have done everything in their power to convince him to return.

He wont do shit with the Chiefs offensive line. He'll never approach the type of numbers he put up in NY again.

Charles will remain the starter and this signing will actually help him. Cuz the Chiefs (ex. LJ and Priest Holmes) are known to run the fuckin' wheels off their backs.

I guess it's a good thing then that Charles averages almost 6 yards a carry.

Jones will be the short yardage back and used to give Charles a breather. The Chiefs won't need him to put up the numbers he put up in NY.

                      He won't be effective.

New coach, new GM ... whatever the Chiefs did in the past means nothing.

It's a good sign but idk if he'll be as productive as he was in NY due to KC's offensive line.

My reasons were stated before. Its the O-Line. Jones struggled for NY early in the season when our O-Line wasn't playing up to par...now he will be playing for a terrible O-Line weekly. He's not being brought in for 3 carries a game, so I'm pretty sure KC want's him to be effective. I never said they needed him to get 1400 yards, but I don't think he'll be much of a factor. I understand what you're saying though.
