Masoli will not play next season. If he does, Chip Kelly would look so horrible and so would the program. Masoli can use his red shirt and possibly play the following season. I would be surprised if Masoli does that because the Ducks are going to have to likely get Darron Thomas started this year. It seems unlikely that Masoli would start over Thomas next season after using this season getting Thomas up to speed. Kudos to Chip for doing the right thing. He's taken a lot of flack recently but I think both punishments are fair.

I was talking to somebody that knew Masoli in high school.

He was expelled from Serra High School because he and his buddies were beating up random people on the street as part of a gang initiation thing. These guys kicked the shit out of several people.

I guess he eventually got caught because they beat this one guy up outside of a liquor store, stole his wallet and shit, then proceeded to beat someone else up about 10 minutes later in the same neighborhood. Cops were called after the first beating and caught all of them in the act the 2nd time around.

This guy is a serious shithead. There is no way he plays next year.

My buddy Kiko Alonso plays LB for Oregon and was just suspended for the season for getting a DUI.

Anyone who thinks Masoli is coming back is ignorant

Why did he not get kicked off the team? This is his first offense AT Oregon. Everyone else who got kicked off and whatever have had multiple offense AT Oregon. Same thing went for Blount. Same thing is going for Alonzo. Same thing is going for Beard and James.

No he we wasn't, Blount was suspended indefinetly, not for the entire season.

Was Blount's situation misreported? I remember reports saying that he was suspended for the remainder of the season not indefinitely.
