I see it's Mock Draft time around here...

Thing is, I have no problem with the draft itself (although to be honest, I haven't watched the draft in about 5 years), even though it's easily one of the most painfully boring 4 hours of sports around (...and that's just the first round). I used to watch the draft, until I realised I could just turn on my computer after it's over, and see who everyone picked in about 5 minutes, as opposed to watching Mel Kiper's hair for 2 days on end.
My problem is with the "draftnik" culture, and even moreso, the practice of the dreaded "mock draft". Can anything possibly be more boring than reading somebody's mock draft? They are never, ever even remotely accurate, and you can blow them up as soon as the first of 100 trades go down. What the fuck is the point? A useless, 100% unentertaining endeavour that I will never understand.
I really wish ESPN would put some draft programming or pre-draft discussions on SOME parts of their channel....I mean, here I am watching exciting playoff series coverage in both the NBA and NHL. Enough of this crap. Dammit, I want to hear Bill Parcell's vaguely describe the typical happenings in the draft room with information we are already well aware of or at least watch Jon Gruden licking some 21 year olds ass with a big old shit eating (literally) grin on his face.Comment

ralaw with the big time thread bump.
Id say let's rehash this thread every year, but frankly, I'm shocked we haven't crashed since last year.Comment
